I have a Radio Shack 43-3829 and I have attempted to access messages remotely to no avail. I tried 7# to reset and that did not work either! Please advise, thanks!

To use your system from a remote telephone, you must first enter a 3-digit remote operation security code. The security code label is located on the bottom of the system.

1. Dial your phone number.

2. When your outgoing message is playing, enter your remote operation security code. Bd appears on the display to indicate the system is in remote mode.

If there are no new messages, you hear three beeps.
These are the remote codes available to you:

2 # Play all messages.
2 5 Play new messages.
3 # Delete all old messages.
7 # Record new outgoing message.
7 # Stop recording outgoing message.
8 # Record memo.
8 # Stop recording memo.
9 # Turn system off/on.
0 # Monitor the room..

You don't. A good "universal remote" available from Radio Shack (Phillips) for about $15 will provide access to all TV adjustments. Easy to program for all TV models, VCR's, DVD players, etc. About $35 + S&H for the Sharp remote replacement.

Be sure that the "new" battery is good by testing the battery or taking it to a radio shack store where the clerk will test it for you.

there is no reswet button. Fortunately, a new remote, called a universal remote will serve you well. These are available at radio shack, walmart, etc.

Check if message retrieval works with a landline phone. If that works, then either the tones generated by your cellph are too far off frequency, or the cell network is filtering out or compressing too much of the tones.

I have the same model with the same problem. I used a Radio Shack 4 in One remote that I had laying around to access the TV and used the code 1234 for the V-chip passcode. I would just keep trying 4 digit codes if this one does not work.

I have the same problem with the Cox Cable remote attempting to make it recognize my Emerson model LC320EM8 HD TV. The booklet with the remote shows 20+ codes for Emerson TVs and I tried them all, I then tried the channel up/down search, to no avail. Is there a code for this TV, or do I have to buy another Radio Shack universal remote like I had to do with my other TV home theater system?
