Hi!

You could install "DataWedge", there you can configure the functionality of the laser.

By "lock" I hope you mean "Always on" in which case you can configure that:

1. Install DataWedge on the device (If not done so already)
2. Open DataWedge on the device (Control Panel)
3. Select "Advanced Config"
4. Profiles
5. Profile 0
6. Input
7. Scanner
8. Select your scan engine, in my case "Blok buster"
9. Reader Params
10. Aim Type
11. Select "Continuous Read".
12. Exit

Is it the right cradle to connect. Sometimes the cradles look alike but actually are different. You can check the back and the bottom and see whether all the ports are the same between those cradles. Replace the battery and see if you suspect that is a battery issue. Some of those batteries are not really endurable.

The MC9500-K offers four types modular keypad configurations.

Telephony Numeric.

None of which has any extended Function Keys within the user guide. The only extended Functions that are available are within Wavelink and they have a document outlining the details:-
