Unplug the unit and turn off the power switch on the back. Wait 10 minutes, plug unit back in, turn on, hopefully, as it did for me, it will read "ERROR" and allow you to hit the eject button and have it finally work.

Question moved to Samsung Home Security.
Swap the camera with no feed for one that does. If that location works, you know the camera is faulty. If the known working camera doesn't work, you know it is the wiring of the power supply to that location.
How to COMPLETELY reset the SAMSUNG SDR-5100N when you`ve forgotten the password and it isn`t the default:
1) Make sure you are just seeing screens on the monitor
2) Push the [DVR] button on the remote so you will send the right commands
3) Enter the following seven key sequence in your remote control [FREEZE] [ALARM] [FREEZE] [ALARM] [FREEZE] [MENU] [ENTER]
4) A menu will pop up asking if you wish to do a factory reset your DVR (you do)
5) You will get a message that says "wait until your system turns off"
6) You will be asked to disconnect the power cable. You should do this for 10 seconds. When your system comes back on you can enter the default login of admin and 4321.
Samsung customer support is superb. You can call 1-877-213-1222 and choose option 2. It won`t list DVR`s starting with "SDR" as ones that can get support on that line, but it is indeed the right place. Hopefully now I`ve saved you 30 min on hold though.

For nearly all Samsung Security DVRs, the default password is 4321. If it hasn't been changed since setup, then you can just use that to access the DVR. The default password is included in the reset procedures for completeness. If you have changed your password or access code for your Samsung Security DVR since it was setup, or if you changed it during the initial setup, use that password in place of the default password. The password will be the latest password that was set on the DVR. If no password has ever been set, then it will be the default.

Try this, look for a small hole on the front of the unit.Use a pin and press in to see if it opens, ejects the disk .If no hole try seeing if you can press ,lift, pull at the door/slot while pressing the open door/eject either on the unit or with the remote control. It sounds like you may have a bad CD/DVD (copy) that the unit is trying to read/load but can't. keep trying to eject CD/DVD if this doesn't work unplug unit for 5 minutes, try open door again do press and hold open repeatedly I know it's frustrating but it just may eject.Don't use this recorder for playback of DVD buy a $30 DVD player the cheaper the better they play anything.GOOD LUCK
Apparently the software that Panasonic sent with my video camera is not compatible with Windows XP Service Pack 3. The solution is spending $79 on another software. Not happy about it, but grateful for your exper that helped me get this resolved. Thanks.
I had the same problem and after reading and trying allot of disks I found the following to work.
Used
Maxell - RW disk. Did a complete format on my computer (takes a while).
Burned a DVD using Vista DVD burner with only a Jpg as per one of the
other posts. Once the disk plays. Stop and goto disk management and
format using DVD-V (VR did not work).
I know its not pretty but at least its better than throwing it in the garbage bin.
