Sun burns out the photocell in lights. Hampton Bay uses cheap components in their Fans and Lighting all made in China for a fraction of what you paid. Dont waste time calling gpwarranty.com they dont care. Best option..buy a good set and dont buy them from Home Depot, Hampton Bays primary retailer, sort of voting with your wallet.
On the body of the fan motor is a small sliding switch(up and down), if you cannot reach it you can use a broomstick to carefully change it's position.
