Try resyncing the remote to the fan reciever.

Turn off power to the fan using the wall switch or circuit breaker and within 30 seconds of turning it back on, hold down the fan off button on thr remote for 10 seconds. This will reset it.

My fan does not have a reverse switch for sure so I scoured the net and got no real answer. I did come accross a comment that said that it worked internally at the remote box in ceiling. Here is how I finally figured it out after about 6 months of searching. Put the fan on high, Turn wall switch OFF, Hold the HI button on remote, Turn switch back on. IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sparq

The traditional electromagnetic chime would not be damaged by the voltage increase but I think you have an electronic chime and it isn't wise to exceed the rated input voltage of electronic equipment.

If you really must increase the voltage supply you could use an appropriate value series resistor as a voltage dropper and you might get away with it...

This may a job you can do i suggest an electrician. Shut power to both fans off, select the fan that you do't want to change , remove canopy that covers up connections Located right next to ceiling. Lower receiver, disconnect the incoming power. restore power and change the direction of the other fan using remote. Shut off power and connect the incoming lead on the disconnected fan reassemble and restore power, this is the reason you have 2 remotes then you can control independently. HD will sell you a replacement remote if you lost yours. Again you should hire an electrician

if they are on separate switches turn off correct one and start other and reverse. if that is not possible you will have to disconnect power in correct one.

Remove the screens and doors and store them in your garage. Rub the metalwork down with beeswax floor polish on a cloth.
