Go to www.homelite.com then in the red up top click on order parts then click launch to parts catalog then scroll down to accept agreement and then you will need to enter your model # and then you can go thru the list of breakdowns and get your part # from the diagrams.

SOURCE: Weed eater GTI 17 won't run on high speed

A couple of things may work...
Make sure you have the correct Oil / Fuel mixture, if it is incorrect the motor may have problems running.
Also take off the bottom where the cord is wound up, make sure there hasn't been any grass get wound up inside it, this will cause it to stall out on high RPM.

SOURCE: gas weed eater pull cord wont retract after pulling cord

remove the cover and the screw holding the recoil down, turning the pulley ccw should release the spring then wind rope around pulley and (hopefully yours has the slot in it) wind in the direction of the pulley teeth then, holding rope in slot put back on spring and wind cw till almost tight, and install screw. Usually you can do this without taking rope handle off. sometimes you have to remove handle. look at spring end in the middle and make sure its not broke as long as you have it apart. Its a easy fix.

A friend of mine gave me a zr series ,625cdv homelite weed eater and I can't figure out how to adjust the carb. Bought a new primer bulb it crank and run for a little bit but I have to idle it high

Screw in the HIGH and LOW needle valves. Then turn each one out 1 full turn, That should be a good starting point.
After engine is running Run engine at Full throttle. Loosen HIGH screw until the engines RPM slows a bit. When that happens Turn screw back in until it revs high and then just starts to slow again. You do not want the engine to run at it's highest RPM or it's not getting enough Lubrication It need to run Rich, that's why you screw the screw in a bit after the engine has reached it's highest RPM. Let it idle down . Then Accelerate hard, if it hesitates, loosen or tighten the LOW until it accelerates quickly with no hesitation.

Weedeater and Homelite shafts interchangeable?

Just give it a try. Some different brands will interchange. I have done this with a Toro and it is still running.

What is the gas to oil ratio for weed eaters?

Most gas weed eaters use 2-cycle engines. For the Homelite 2-cycle engine trimmers, use a 50:1 ratio of gasoline to the Homelite lubricant. (For 1 gallon of gas, add 2.6 oz of the oil.)

Many Homelite tool manuals are available here: http://www.homelite.com/service_support/product_owners_manuals . Scroll down to find your string trimmer.

I hope this helps.

Need to know the gas ratio to use in a homelite(trimlitr) weed eater.

50:1 if that is too rich the weed eater will give off white smoke then use 30:1

I have a MightyLite weed eater - the plastic bobble has a crack. What are my options besides purchasing a new weed eater? Purchased at Home depot.

You don't have to purchase a new one. Parts for it are available. This online parts house is good. If you are saying you need the plastic bubble for the carburetor, it is here.

There are 3 models listed. They are listed in the 4th section of misc. parts and are items 9,10, and 11.
All the other parts for your machine are listed here too:
