First, you'll need to gather all pertinent info- including model / serial number and any paperwork indicating date of installation or purchase.

Next, go to Rheem's website. There is help there to assist you to locate your heater's model and serial number if you are unable to / unsure of where to find it. If you live in the U.S. and have the model / serial number data, you can go to the Homeowners Resource Center page and click "Water Heating Product Warranty Verification" link inside the Warranty Section. If you live in Canada, you cannot use the online verification and should call 800 263 8342 instead.

The Samsung web site has a convenient section for checking the warranty for your electronic device. You must register first; the process takes only a minute or so. All you need, in addition to the usual stuff such as name, email and password, is the model and serial number of your product. The Samsung web site explains in detail how to locate these numbers for each product type. Once you log in, you will be able to view all details about your product's warranty.

And here are what you are what you need to do:

1. You will need the model and serial number. The Samsung website makes it easy to locate these numbers. Simply select the product type and details from the drop-down menu on the " Model, Serial Number Location" page to see a pictorial description of where the model and serial numbers are located. Samsung mentions that it is important to use the numbers from the actual product and not from the box.

2. After locating the model and serial numbers for your product, register them at the Samsung website. You only need to enter your name, email address, a password and your product's model and serial numbers. It is not necessary to enter receipt details from your original purchase. Once you complete registration, you can click on the warranty link and read all the details about warranty coverage that apply to your product. You can contact Samsung at 1-800-SAMSUNG (726-7864) for any problems you may encounter during registration.

Typically the serial number is located on the back of the CD or DVD case, on the lower left hand section. In cases where the game was bundled by Gateway or purchased through Scholastic, the serial number may be found in one of three other locations:
The inside of the case
The back of the manual
On a separate piece of cardboard or paper
If your serial number is not printed in any of these locations, you may request a new serial number.

Misprinted or Invalid Serial/Registration Code Replacement:
If you meet one of the following criteria, and you are within the 90 day warranty period, you can send a request to Electronic Arts for a replacement serial/registration number.

• Conditions
• The serial/registration number is illegible or missing characters.

You will have to look underneath the unit if it is installed in your kitchen counter for the model and serial numbers.

This part should still be available from a local parts outlet. You'll need model and serial and color. Model and serial are located underneath the unit on its bottom.

Get prepared by going to outdoor section and record model plus serial
number. Get installer invoice or bill of sale from retailer to establish start-up date. If installer or retailer now not in business, go to LG
website and acquire local distrubtor/service contractor number.
Please note any licensed contractor can replace compressor no charge
if all warranty conditions met, but may have to charge for labour if not
covered under warranty.

Contact the manufacturer of the tv, in order to activate the warranty you would have had to send in the warranty card with the model and serial number. As a far fetched thought you could check the models at the store you purchased your tv from and see if they match or have a record of your purchase, a lot of places keep that information on big ticket items.
