You don't, you have it the wrong way around. You program the remote TO the television, not the television to the remote. Here are all the Insignia remote Codes.

The manuals for radio shack equipment are available on the Radio Shack website. I just viewed and downloaded the one for the 20-527 last night and that is an older unit. In the search window, put in the Cat number, and searched it. If this doesn't work search the word manuals and try that. You can totally re-initialize the 20-527, those instructions are there too. The disadvantage; you loose all your programmed information and will need to start over. Which is ok if you'd like to start fresh again.
