You want to choose a bench that:

·has adequate padding - press your thumb into the bench and if you can feel wood or metal, choose a different bench. Hard benches can cause T4 syndrome, which is a misalignment of the thoracic spine. This is a condition that affects the nerves in your arm, which causes muscle weakness.
·allows your feet to rest flat on the floor while in the standard bench condition - keeping your feet flat on the floor increases your stability, which allows you to drive through your hips when pressing. Being able to lie flat also decreases the chance of spinal injury and muscle strains caused by rounding the lower back.
·can lay flat or at an incline so you can train at varying angles
·has barbell hooks that are horizontally 30-36 inches apart to allow for wide grip benching and provides a wider base for stabilization - if you can't comfortably rack and unrack the bar at your widest hand position, choose a different bench
·has at least two or better yet three hooks - in case you can't complete a rep you may need to rack the bar on a lower hook. Also, you will need a higher hook for incline benching than you will for flat benching.
·includes leg extension/hamstring curl equipment that is easy to add and remove - one leg hamstring curls are great for the hammies, and while not nearly as useful as hamstring curls, leg extensions are often used by bodybuilders to build and shape the structure of their quads.

WHY PEOPLE LOVE WEIGHT BENCHES?

Weight benches are a staple feature for any gym whether it's at home or in a commercial club, they lay down the foundations for your weight training allowing you to train every angle of almost any muscle you want.
·Unlike a multi gym that forces a fixed path of motion weight benches let your body follow a more natural path using free weights for better focus on the correct muscles for quicker development and to reduce the risk of injury
·They are more versatile than a gym as you can choose to use dumbbells with them or a barbell for an almost limitless range of exercise options
·You can soon pay the cost of a weight bench back from expensive gym fees and have the convenience and privacy of training at home without having to wait for machines to come available
·Regular exercise 2-3 times a week has been tested and proven to reduce depression and help alleviate stress levels, this is because during exercise your body releases endorphins which provides an almost euphoric sensation acting as a positive stimulant on the brain·They give excellent core and lumbar support through exercises so you can maintain the focus on the working muscle, this makes them ideal for starters because it regulates their posture to reduce the risk of injury until the exercises become familiar.

I need a manual for body champ 605b weight bench

I have the Proform XP300 Weight Bench and the smith machine works perfectly. The pull-down is just ok. The verticle square pole that the pull-down weights ride on must be kept very clean or it binds and the plastic inserts drag. I use silicone spray for lube. The leg machine attached to it works as good as any. Worth the money.

I need a free on line users manual for the proform xp 300 weight bench

FITNESS REALITY 1000 SUPER MAX WEIGHT BENCH is great for working out at home. Excellent value for money, compact and seems to be of sturdy construction. The only complaint was that the instructions are poorly written and fail to identify two different types of screws. Some common sense is required to figure it out but it's not hard.

Furthermore, as my wife and I discovered, this bench is great for all kinds of things. 12 different positions :) Yep, this is definitely a very fun bench!
