Hi Francois Lauzno, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? Can only guess what you want to know, and you only typed part of a question, that you need to replace an unknown part number for an unknown make and model dryer.

If you are talking about the part indicated as Nr.6 in this diagram.

That is a bimetal thermal fuse, part number 661663.

Here the spare part.

Standing to your description the switch and more parts in the control panel may be damaged, here all parts.

To find the seal, see: TUB AND FRAME PARTS.

SOURCE: Sony kf-ws60s1 front red light flashes 6 times after lamp replacement. Need thermal fuse part number

hello!
your issue has nothing to do with "thermal switch". while you have replaced the lamp, you could lose a piece of plastic hardware, in front of the lamp housing. It pushes auxiliary interlock switch, right under the front of the lamp compartment. If you take lamp out, use flashlight and shine inside. There is a little switch at the bottom. Try to make the lamp housing push it, without breaking anything. you could get "generic" lamp with housing, which is not correct. Anyway, that's the deal. Also: don't forget to install lamp door and turn the handle clockwise! there is another switch. I've seen people who forget to put that door back! Really!
good luck,
Alex.

My samsung whirlpool dryer turns on and beeps like it wants to start, than nothing and a little light with no code it actually looks like a little tshirt starts blinking in red not sure what that means

Hello Danyel;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

You did not provide a model number. The model number is usually on a label see after you open the dryer door.

I would first start with the thermal fuse. It may be blown. But I do not know if you have one since I do not have a model number.

If you do not have a meter to check the thermal fuse you can use a 12 gauge wire and by-pass the fuse to see if the dryer will start. Remember to unplug the dryer first, and that the fuse is a safety device and must be replaced. Generally the following fuse is in the back of the dryer:

I have an atwood g6a-7e water heater. The thermal fuse is bad. i need to know what temp and coltage the thermal fuse for this heater is. The numbers on the fuse do not mach any thing on the web.

ANy RV dealer should stock that item . You can temporarily by-pass it for use but be aware you have no safety should a flame-up happen due to spider webs etc getting in to burner tube.

Duet dryer doesn't run. control panel lights up. push on button and all you hear is a click. what do i do?

No dryer function works when the motor cannot run and the common issue is a blown thermal fuse located on the blower housing and wired in series with the motor. There will be no power to the motor when the thermal fuse blows and the motor cannot therefore run. Bypass the thermal fuse and if the motor runs, the thermal use is indeed blown and needs to be replaced. Do not use the dryer with the thermal fuse blown due to fire hazards.

Disconnect power then open the dryer door and remove the lint filter. Remove the screws from the toe panel and remove the panel. Remove the screws securing the lint duct and remove the duct.

The thermal fuse can now be bypassed or replaced if necessary.

Bypass the thermal fuse by disconnecting the wires and taping them together or jumping a wire between them. Once done, plug the dryer in then start it. The thermal fuse is indeed blown and needs to be replaced if the dryer runs. The thermal fuse is part number 3390719. Reassemble the dryer in reverse order of the disassembly steps.

It's completely dead. won't turn on when push button. dial works fine. is it a blown fuse?

If the model number you listed this question under is correct, there is a Thermal Fuse in the back of the dryer that, if blown, will prevent the dryer from running. To access, follow these steps:

1. UNPLUG dryer and SHUT OFF gas supply.

2. Locate and remove the rear panel screws on the back of the dryer.

3. With the rear panel removed, the Thermal fuse will be located on the blower fan housing on the left-hand side of the dryer (as viewed from the rear). It is a small plastic looking component with two wires attached.

4. Disconnect the wires to iosolate the fuse and measure across the leads with a multi-meter. The fuse should read a short (0 ohms) if good. If it reads an open (infinite), the fuse is bad.

NOTE: If you do not have a multi-meter another simple way to prove the fuse bad is to make sure the dryer is UNPLUGGED and disconnect the two wires from the fuse and jumper them together. Plug the dryer back in and, if it runs normally with the fuse by-passed, the fuse is bad. CAUTION: DO NOT leave the dryer by-passed in this manner, Use only as a TEMPORARY means to troubleshoot your problem.

If the thermal fuse is blown, it generally blows for a reason. Most commonly, this is caused by a dryer that is overheating. I would recommend that you fully inspect your dryer ventilation ducting inside the cabinet and from the point where it leaves your dryer to where it exits you home. Make sure there are no kinks, clogs or choke points that will keep the dryer from ventilating correctly. A dryer in a clogged state will not heat efficiently and will eventually overheat to the point of failure. This will result in repeated failures of any components you may replace.

Replacement parts (if required) can be purchased at any of the following web sites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices will vary between sites so shop and compare. The first three sites on the list have helpful exploded view diagrams to assist you with locating and properly identifing any parts you may need. The Thermal Fuse part number is 3392519 and is listed as item 7 under the "Bulkhead" parts listing.

Hi i have a whirlpool gas dryer LGR8648LWO and

If your ignitor (glow bar) is glowing that indicates the thermal fuse is okay.

With the symptoms you are describing it is acting more like an air flow issue than a component failure. Make sure your door seal is good, your venting is connected properly and try it again. I would not install the thermal fuse.

Why doesn't our dryer heat turn on?

Hello Friend, Your problem is very simple to fix. You're dryer needs a thermal fuse and or gas valve coils, and maybe an igniter all three are very simple and affordable to replace. To replace the thermal fuse just remove back cover of dryer and look down where the air blows out. Now, just to the left where all the wires are you will see a white plastic part with two wires plugged into it. This part is called a thermal fuse. Just remove these wires and replace the thermal fuse. Now, if this don't solve the problem you will need a gas valve coil kit. To replace coils just remove front of dryer body and look below drum you will see the gas valve. The valve coils are located on top of valve (two little round black cylinders). It's simple, just remove the two screws from the little metal bracket that holds them down, unplug the wires from them and just lift them straight up off of the valve. Take notice that one has 3 wires and one has 2 wires. Just replace with new coils and plug wires back in and re-fasten metal bracket. Your dryer will run like new, if it doesn't then you will need to check the igniter. The igniter is attached to the end of the burner assymbly by one screw and a simple two wire plug. Inspect for breakage, and replace if needed. Happy to help, Tim. And please don't forget to give me your rating for my help.

Thermal fuse change on Kemore 970.c85042-00

First you need to know your dryer over heated and the thermal fuse tripped for a reason.

You will need to replace the thermal fuse, thermal fuses are there to protect the dryer. When you have the dryer apart clean all the venting and vacuum out the dryer. Look online for a parts supplier in your area, you will need your model and serial number to order the thermal fuse they are about ten dollars.

how long is the venting, does it exceed 20 feet, how many elbows. Make sure the outside hood is clean
