THE WIRES TO MY EGR VALVE WERE CUT I HAVE A NEW PLUG BUT CANT FIGURE WHERE THE FIVE WIRES GO TO 02 SUNFIRE GT 2.4L

The egr wiring should plug into the egr valve itself. It is located on the front of intake manifold to the side of the thermostat housing. Has someone removed the valve and plated off the opening?

have u changed plug wires-they wear inside--distributer area may be badd too--the egr is a service bullitin for that year-the exhaust gas from crankcase has issues--if vehicle feels smooth then disconnect both wires on batt and touch them together-it should clear code-if not-hook it to a tech ll

if you cannot pull it out with pliers or tweezers, then you will probaby have to replace the terminal in the female connector. Picking at it with a pick may help. but will most likely damage the connector. Whatever you do, be careful not to damage the connector shell. These can be very hard to come by. Pins with wire attached (pigtails) can be purchaced from the dealer. They usually do not have the entire connector shell available, but you can ask. With the pigtail, you would simply cut the wire and replace the connector pin in the connector. If they have the connector shell with wires, you would cut all the wires and splice a whole new connector shell onto the vehicle wiring harness.
