Service manuals aren't generally available, because the insides are so dangerous! Keep away from the step up transformer and capacitor with 120,000 volts stored in it.

Yes, unless a technician may have removed it during a previous service. It should be located behind the controller assembly, sometimes in a small envelope.

Its a little tricky but can be done from the front. First unplug the unit, remove the top grill (above the door), then there is one screw to the control panel (remove it). Carefully, push up from the bottom of the panel to release the control, inside your should see to screws holding the interlock switches in place, if the harness is long enough you can bring them forward to inspect.

I downloaded a parts schematic of the door latch assembly and thought I would determine the broken part, order a replacement and install same. As soon as I started to remove the shell of the unit to get at the latch assembly, I discovered non-standard fasteners are used. My wife advised me to stop and take it to a service center because she did not want me to mess up the containment of the radiation! Thanks for your interest. MB

Hello,On the front of the microwave above the door is a louvered panel. You need to remove the panel ( usually it just pulls straight off ) and inside on the left you will see a metal rod that's bent 90 degrees. That is the lock handle. While lifting on the front of the microwave pull that handle out to release the lock. The front of the microwave will tilt down, you may have to help it start tipping. Once the microwave is tipped down you have to lift the back that is against the wall to unhook it from the wall mounting panel. Be careful to feed the power cord through the cabinet hole as your lowering it. Good luck and let me know how this works.
