How do you know when you need a new battery for your portable phone?

Hi there, I suggest you do a google search. There are many suppliers and I do not know what country you are in.

It can run on ten AA batteries, so by your definition it is portable.

Weigh you options....a new portable DVD player can be bought for not much more.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery & then re-connecting it??
I had a problem with my cordless phone-it kept saying 'low battery' on the screen, & when I called customer support they said I needed to reset it. I couldnt figure out how! I took the battery cover off, & disconnected my battery, then re-connected it & the message on my screen was gone & it worked fine!

This is a portable home telelphone. I removed the batteries, waited a few minutes, and replaced the SAME batteries. Now the phone works perfectly. Maybe it needed to be reset?
