Contact the manufacturer of these speakers. Visit their website or find their phone number and request a replacement wire. I understand your frustration because the same thing happened to me. I have a Sony speaker system, and i lost the input output wire so all i did was called the company up and they sent me a replacement wire in the mail. It should not cost much at all. It looks like all you'll need to do is hook up audio out from DirecTV to audio in on the surround sound system. Sony has an interesting hookup recommendation guide on the product support site:

That should give you the connection options. The short answer, though, is to connect the best audio out from DirecTV to an audio in on the surround sound and then choose that option in the surround sound system when you want to watch TV.
