The reset filter light came on for my LG microwave. What do I do?

Open the microwave door and press the access panel above the cavity opening where it says "PUSH" to lower the panel door. Models with an Upfront Filter have a Reset Filter notification light on the control panel to indicate when it is time to change the filter. The Reset Filter reminder will light every 6 months.

If the microwave buttons don't work the touchpad and control panel assembly are probably defective.

As far as I am aware, you can reset the microwave entries with the STOP/CLEAR button. This is the only way to clear all entries on the oven.

No! there is no reset, the problem is caused by one or more door swiches that have become defective, or the keypad control board a possibility.

No, microwave ovens haven't reset buttons...you must check the circuit board and eventually replace it.

Our LG did the same thing - called customer service and they told us the open and slam the door 10 times. It actually worked! It reset the switches somehow.
