I am looking for the door gasket for a Whirlpool upright freezer Model No. EEV202X. The parts places do not seem to recognize this Model nomber. This freezer is probably +25 years old.

So, you can either buy a door gasket by the size of the one you have, or you can make one by buying a length or door gasket material and cutting 90' notches in the 4 corners and filling / gluing the corners with white silicone.
Or if the gasket is just split, you can clean thoroughly and repair with silicone. Fill the void, close the door, and clean up excess.
In a case like that most likely the door gasket isn't sealing on that corner , a dollor bill placed around door then close it should have some resistiance when pulling it out, if it comes out easily the door gasket needs replacing
If there is frost forming at the bottom to the door, your door gasket is leaking at that location. You may be able to relax gasket back in place with hair dryer, be carefull you can melt gasket. If it is sheets of ice, your defrost drain may be frozen
The lower hinge on each door
may have a door closing cam. It raises the door up ¼ inch when opening and this
assist in closing the door. If it’s wore out and doesn’t work the door may not
seal and the gasket can be damaged. Watch the operation of the door to see if
it rises up when opened.
Leave the door shut and let the magnetic gasket hold the
door in place. Put something between the bottom of the doorand the floor to hold it in case it slips.
Remove the bracket holding the pin and hinge assembly taking
note of order of removal of parts. Slide new cams on. You probably need two.
a leaking gasket can cause food to thaw and it can be fixed if a new gasket is avaliable from local appliance parts place..the gasket is held on by the liner which is removed by gently lifting the gasket and removing the screws..the reverse to install the new gasket

I have a EVL201NXRQ05 upright whirlpool. It was purchased in Nov 2008 in the Summer of 2009 the gasket was leaking at the top of the door. The gasket on this door snaps into place (no hardware needed). The problem is the door was bowed in the middle pulling the gasket down and away from the metal frame of the freezer - to the point the magnets in the gasket would not touch in the middle of the opening. I requested a new door while under warrantry. The door did not appear to be repairable it is a glued/foamed-inplace assembly. The new door looked straight when I installed it last summer and now it is bowed but not yet leaking. Whirlpool has a design / manufacture problem with this door design. I have received an extended warranty option from Whirlpool this past week 4 months after the factory warranty has expired. I suspect they know they have any issue, but not much is written about it. I may end up buying the extended warranty, but first I'm going to where I bought it to complain.
it's an easy question!
ans: support your leg in the bottom part of the door and pull the top part of the door with your hand with a great force.......it will seems to be bendind. dont worry. it will just make the door parallel................have a nice day :-)
