Best NOT if 8GB is it's stated max, it may work but give you problems later.

Why does my jazz jdc77 14 mega pixels say please plug out card what does this mean

It means remove the card. The card is faulty. Replace it. Or, you can see if any of the information at this site can correct the fault:

Jazz JDC77 Where can I find a list of cards that this camera will accept?

As per the previous response, use the recommended size of card - available from eBay and many other retailers. A general store is unlikely to have staff knowledgeable enough to help you.

Jazz hdv 180

Specs show SD/SDHC memory card slot for adding up to 8 GB.
I would recommend SDHC that is high speed (class 10 or above) and high capacity.

Normally, you can only insert an SD card one way. Try a different SD card or check to see if the SD card you're using has the "write protect" switch on. If that's not the issue try formatting the card in your PC and then format it in the camera.

When can I purchase a memory card for the Jazz DVX50?

You can purchase an SD card any time you want, the DVX50 supports SDHC cards but will not support any card over 8GB. I suggest you take the camcorder to Best Buy so you can make sure you are getting the right SD card.

I have a Jazz HDV180 digital camcorder and it takes a 8GB memory card. I put a 8GB HP memory card in and it says no card. I have formatted the memory card.

Try checking your manuel for specifically named memory card, sometimes certain cameras can only take certain memory card formats.
Hope this helps.

Sd card not recognizable

I read the following spec for your camera: Recording Media Internal Flash Memory 64MB Video/Image
SD/SDHC Up To 32GB Video/Image
So, I think that an 8 GB SD card should work.

Try another capacity and brand to make it work.

Should you use an 8gb sd memory card in a panasonic lumix dmc-fx3 camera ?

Hi,

The manual lists the following SD cards compatible:

4 GB SDHC Memory Card
2 GB SD Memory Card
1 GB SD Memory Card
512 MB SD Memory Card
256 MB SD Memory Card
128 MB SD Memory Card
64 MB SD Memory Card

An 8GB card may or may not work. If you try it, make sure it is an SDHC card. (Note: HC=High Capacity)

Thanks for using Fixya.

When I put in my SD 8 GB memory card, busy signal

An 8GB SD card will actually be a SDHC card, the HC means High Capacity. Your camera is only designed for regular SD cards up to a maximum capacity of 2GB; it's incompatible with SDHC at the basic hardware level and so cannot format the card.

You only have one solution: fit an SD card which does not exceed 2GB. Note that the specification for regular SD cards goes up to 4GB, but very few standard SD devices were ever designed or tested for compatibility with them. The few regular SD cameras which can use them mostly can only do so after a firmware update and even then will operate very slowly compared to when using a 2GB card. There has never been a firmware update to enable your camera to use 4GB SD cards.

I hope that you have found my posting to be of assistance and ask in return only that you return the favour by rating my answer.
