SOURCE: gas in the oil on my honda generator

Your needle/float is stuck, which will allow fuel to flow though the intake...past the piston..and into the crankcase. If has been awhile since you used it, most likely the gas has gummed up the insides of the carb. Otherwise, you may have had something get into the fuel bowl that is keeping the needle from closing. Best way to solve is to remove and clean the carb. Replace fuel filter if needed also.
Hope this helps

Only getting 80 volts

First check you engine's rpm. Your generator is a 60 hz unit it need to be 3600-3750rpm; if 50 hz then it need to be 3000-3100.

If voltage is still down and the rpms are correct then alternator's voltage regulation circuit needs checking. To do this you need to have make and model posted.

Why is spark plug breaking down on new honda generator 3000?

If the plug isn't fouled and looks all right, it could be the resistor cap on the plug wire. It could also be a warning from the CDI that it is giving up the ghost.

I,m wiring an outlet in the garage to plug my honda 3000 into , to power a few circuits in the house. How many amp circuit can I run with a Honda 3000? Thanks RJ

On your sump pump, there is something called a nameplate which lists model number, serial number, manufacturer, and power requirements. The power can either be listed in watts directly, or in amps (at 120v). Also click on this web page and You will be able to figure it out. http://www.donrowe.com/inverters/usage_chart.html Hope that answers Your question.
