SOURCE: Sony KDL-46s2010 4 red light blinks

I would suspect one or more of the miniature flourescent backlight lamps. One way to confirm this would be to power up the set with a grayscale image at 40 to 60 IRE. If one or more lamps is failing to light, a slightly darker horizontal area in the grayscale will give it away. Unfortunately, Sony will not supply any of the backlight components apart from a new LCD panel. Sorry.

SOURCE: I have the same power supply problem on my

Hello,

You may be able to repair the board instead of buying a replacement board. If you are up to a little soldering it may save you a good bit of money for the repair. If you are interested just take a few pictures of the boards and email them to us at [email protected] We will check them out and give you some pointers on what to do. Most power supply issues with the blinking power lights are caused by blow capacitors on the power board. These are fairly easy to replace and the replacements are less than $20 usually. To get an idea what capacitors are and what will need to be do to repair you unit check out our pages at :http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/capacitors/ You may want to look over the repair guides for other units we have posted too. SOURCE: Samsung HLS5087WX/XAA DPL shuts down after 30 - 60 seconds, 3 blinking lights

I beleive from what you have told me that most likely it is just a lamp issue, there are a lot of so called original equipment lamps and counterfit lamps on the market that will barely give you 1000 hours run time. When it comes to Television lamps cheeper is not better. Make certain to buy an original Samsung lamp, you should get about 3500 to 4000 hours from it. If you need further assistance or have questions please reply to continue.

My TV is a LG 47LN5700-UH I had a lightning strike near the house. Afterward TV would start but not boot completely. Now it won't start at all. Cable box also got fried at the same time.

The led driver AND the T-con board are bad. If you could see a picture with the flashlight then the T-con board would be good. It is not. The led driver can be on the main board or the power supply board. You can get these parts from here: TV Parts Universal TV Stands DLP Chips ShopJimmy

I have a lg tv 60 inch tv ln5600 when powering on red stand by light blinks 3 time then no light pic or sound not backlight and no image when using flashlight treid replacing power board does same

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

Lg 50ln5600 backlight issue

Check whether the back-light start voltage [control voltage] comes to the backlight inverter section of the power board; from the main board. It sounds that that voltage does not come from the main board, after the firmware has been loaded up. If so the main board will have the fault. Contact any service technician.

On my Dell E193fpc monitor, the background lighting goes off after a few seconds. The actual Screen-image is still there (can be seen in bright sunlight). How can I get the backlighting to work proper

This sounds as though there might be a problem with the inverter (this is a component that supplies a high voltage for a tube(s) that illuminate the screen.

As there are high voltages on inverters, this is really a job for a repair shop.
