Spray starting fluid into the air box if it starts and dies out there is a fuel delivery problem if the mower has a petcock fuel shut of valve disconnect the fuel line after the petcock and hold a container under the hose turn on the valve to ensure gas flow to carb if there is no petcock valve I would still check the line to carb make sure gas flows through the hose to carb.

Every thing is new. I figured out the problem. When I adjusted the remote throttle, I lined the hole in the governor up right, but I had gone beyond fast and was on choke. I re-adjusted it and changed the oil and it fired right up! I had major gas in the crankcase oil. Now if I knew where to hook the tach dwell tester to, I could set the idle at the recommended setting instead of guessing! Thanks for the help.
How fresh is your gas? Make sure the fuel filter is clean.
