A tv repairman took out one of our boards on our WS-55517. We are trying to get a schematic or picture of the inside of the back of the tv to determine what board he took, can you help?

You better take this TV to the Hospital. A local tech will be able to explain to you what needs done. This is the best solution, as you can certainly make things worse.......And its safer!!!!
2 blinks followed by 1 blink is the X-Ray protection-----means some problem in the High voltage circuit ---set produces over 25 thousand volts to fire the 3 picture tubes inside up----It could be excessive high voltage-------I think you would have to get lucky for someone to find and fix it in your home----more likely it will need a visit to a Repair shop.
I had a similar problem. I called a repairman and he came out and re-soddered the circut board. It only took a few seconds. I was so happy it was not something more technical.
Ok do you have cable satillite or what? How is the satillite and or cable hook up to the TV set? Is it through the video input, as I bet you need to try the differant inputs for the antenna as well as for the video, as when the TV gets unpluged, and thats basicly what happened when the kitty walked on the power strip, the TV set reset to another input. Good Luck
This sounds like a bad connection or a bad capacitor in the 220 volt source that supplies the voltage for the CRT boards. You will need to get a schematic and trace out this voltage from the PM board to the CRT driver boards when the set acts up. it could even be a connection on one of the plugs from the PM board to the CRT boards. Sorry but not a real easy repair. Might take some time to trace unless a component is failing. Good Luck
the outside screen is called a linticular lens and the inside one is the fresnele lens. They both should come out together from the front as the trim on this set if im not mistaking pulls or slides off then theres mounting plates holding it on. Becarefull and dont try to clean the mirror as the coatings on the outside of the mirror. Also be very carefull not to touch any componets as theres extremly hi voltage in these sets even with them unplugged. Good Luck
