Cannot figure out how to make oven work

That code indicates a problem with the oven door Lock Assembly. If nothing can be found wrong with the door lock, then the electronic oven control would need to be replaced.

Try the Maytag website under customer service. They usually will have the owners manuals You will need the model number.

The date of manufacture is determined by the SERIAL number on the appliance. The following link explains how to determine the age on a Maytag appliance:

Locate your serial number. It will be located on the same nameplate as the model number. On most Maytag appliances, this information can be found on the back of the operator control panel. If not located there, look around the oven door or lower drawer opening.

The two LETTERS at the end of the serial number represent the date of manufacture. The FIRST letter represents the YEAR, while the SECOND letter represents the MONTH.

I would like to clean my Maytag self cleaning oven but have lost the book with the directions. Please give me the steps. Thank you

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR APPLIANCE before beginning any service procedure.
You would have to contact the Maytag factory for a new owner’s manual and make sure you give them your model # and serial # in order to get the right one, I have listed some information below for your convenience. There are new products in the market that do clean self cleaning ovens that do NOT harm the actual self cleaning process, but check with the factory so that it does not void your factory warranty.
