SOURCE: Need help unlocking new G2

that G2 of yours, works on 850 MHz;900 MHz;1800 MHz;1900 MHz;UMTS: Band IV . So if the unlock was successful and the network you are trying to register it to operates over the G2's frequencies, then it should register. confirm with the provider you are subscribed to. post back for followup

SOURCE: apn settings

I have a S4, not sure if its the same but here's what i do to get to APN settings:
First go to settings and tap on the connections tab at the top of the screen. Then tap on "More networks" under the "network connections" subsection. Once there you should see a button for "mobile networks". tap on it and it should bring you to another screen with a button called "Access Point Names (AKA APN). Tap on that and you're there!
Like I said, this is for a Galaxy S4 but I think it would be a similar if not identical procedure for the S3. Hope this helps :)

I cannot acces my network operator, apn, it is all blacked out. how do i un black and change the apn because it is currently on t-mobile and i need it on metropcs.

it's probably locked to t-mobile which means you have to get it unlocked.
alternatively, you might have an option to add apn in the menu on that page.

I have the 3gs but im puttin my t-mobile bard in it and it wont let me on the internet and says gprs not working

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Take the GPRS enabled cell phone and connect it to your computer or laptop using either Bluetooth, infra red or a USB cable.

Step 2: Create a dial up connection. Go into your control panel, then into internet options. Then go to connections and add. Create a dial up connection and when it asks for a phone number type in *99#

Step 3: On your new dialup connection add the same proxy address you have on your GPRS in your cell phone.

Step 4: Now on your panel there should be something called modem options (If your’s doesn't have you'll have to search your computer for an option that allows you to change the access point name or also known as the APN) here you must change the APN to whatever your APN is on your GPRS in your phone.

Step 5: Go to start menu and connect, then connect to your dial up (make sure your cell phone is connected to your computer or laptop)

Step 6:Start your browser (internet explorer, opera etc) and start surfing the net.

Note that every cell phone has its own speed for example 3g phones can reach up to speed's of 48 kb/s.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
