the reasons to choose brand names is compatability.
unknown brands or noname brands have issues with compatability.
you may pay more for big name brands but the offer better quality and better customer support as well.
there are sometimes cheaper versions of the brand names on tvs..however they only offer 720p..which is a lower high def tv then the 1080 versions. make sure to always do your home work when shopping for tvs as to what you are actually paying for.
shop at big name stores that offer real tsch support and exchange programs.
somtime the little retail outlets are selling floor models or refurbished models. they dont offer a good exchange or warranty program.
its better to pay more and get what you really want rather then end up with a cheaper tv that stops working.
