HDMI inputs knocked out by power surge from lightning. RCA jacks, sound and picture still work, just not high-def. Is this a simple fix or am I without HDMI on this Sony Bravida? Thanks, Mike

You will have to replace board the hdmi's are on. Take back cover off. Should be 4-8 screws holding board. Disconnect ribbons etc...should be a # on board itself. Amazon or ebay

I have sound but no picture

Check your connections between your Roku box and your TV more than likely you have the audio cables plugged into the wrong jacks, Using a single HDMI cable would eliminate this issue if you have an available HDMI input on your TV. Notice which jacks are the audio output jacks on this pic, make sure these are connected to the input on your TV, the ONLY time you don't use these jacks id if you are using the HDMI connection, they are REQUIRED for composite video, component video (high def color) and S-video.

Sharp aquos audio input jack not working

That 3.5 jack only works when the TV input is selected for PC. Try an HDMI or Hi def cable connection to the TV

Wd65738 blue screen

blue screen means no video signal, if the source is on hdmi ensure the cable is rca or in simple audio video jacks which u will have to connect in the dvi input of the tv reason is hdmi means high definition interface and transmits by hdcp like the data of an internet meaning its digital platform which the tv can only process thru the dvi inputs or component y,p,b

Only one (out of four total) HDMI input is working on my set.

The HDMI switcher IC chips in TVs can be damaged but lighting hits near you house even if the power is protected with a surge protector. The damaging power comes in through the HDMI port and blows the chip out and it can affect just one port or multiple HDMI ports. Your best bet would be to just get a cheap HDMI switcher and use the one working port. The repair on the TV would require placing the control board and would run from $75-150 for parts plus the labor to install it.

Turned on the tv and i have no picture just sound...

Most likely fault is the backlight inverter board. May be a simple fix due to bad capacitors or may require a new inverter board.
You can check that the LCD screen is still working by shining a torch on the screen and looking carefully for a dim picture. Try putting the menu on so that you have a known static image to look for.

Motorola DSR505 HDMI problem

Check to see if input 5 has a audio in source via RCA jacks. Many times manufactures will give you multi HDMI inputs but only one that has RCA jacks in case you are running a DVI/HDMI cable. If input 5 does not have those RCA jacks you will not have sound. I know this unit has multiple HDMI inputs. Look to see if any of the other HDMI inputs also have RCA jacks.
I hope this helps,

NON- Hi Def channels loose thier blue? color....picture is all green

Some CATV hi-def receivers are known to have issues keeping up with the datastream. Symptoms from the picture going solid black to other unpredictable video have been seen. Ask your CATV provider if they can switch your brand to another manufacturer. If your cable box has component video jacks in addition to HDMI, try that too. Some boxes will output RGB perfectly but bomb out with HDMI.
