I have a whirlpool gold side by side with ice and water. The refrigerator handle has come loose at the top. The screws all appear to be in accessible as they are directly behind the door handle.

I can see no screws at the bottom of the handle. The handle does not seem to have a cap that can be lifted off to expose screws and there also appears to be no way to access any screws from the inside of the door.

The handle is still securely fastened at the bottom.

Thanks for your time and effort. I really appreciate it.

The handles are not the same although the manual seems appropriate in all other ways.

My handles and attached to the door at about 60" (top) and 15" (bottom) inches from the floor. The handel then sweeps down in a curve forming the grip between these 2 points.

I have examined the body of the handle and can see no place where parts of the handle slip off to provide access to the screws.

See if you can unscrew the handle at the bottom, and slide it off the top bracket. Then you should be able to tighten the top screws and re-install the handle.

Whirlpool gold 24.5 CF with long handles. Can see handles need to be taken off and attachment screws under handle need to be tightened. How do you get handles off? Tried lifting up...

these unit have a trim piece that has to removed first before you can get to the screws that hold the handle to the door.
try to "slide" the upper and lower trim away from the handle, that will give you the access to the mounting screws. its not an easy job but you will get them to move with just the right amount of force.

Handle on fridge side is loose

Look at the top and bottom of the handle. There should be a plastic end cap you can gently pry off exposing the screws to remove and tighten the handle.

Whirlpool Refrigerator water leak through Ice dispenser

You need to remove the ice maker and open the front carefully. It has small micro switches inside it and it sounds like one that opens the water control valve is stuck in the on position. Be careful not to loose the arm spring and how that goes back together as you take it apart. Sea Breeze

My side by side refrigerator handles are loose (Whirlpool gold)

Hi, Most newer models have a screw behind the plastic cover on the handle. Take a good look at the handle and see if the cover can be removed. It should just snap on. If not, please get me you model # and I can assist you further.

Ice Maker is not working on my Whirlpool Gold Refrigerator

I removed six screws from the ice maker to pull it out of the refrigerator.  Their are four screws holding the ice maker in place and two screws on the ice maker door.  Had problems getting the electrical harness disconnected.  Used hot water to removed the ice cubes that were struck in the ice tray.  Poured all remaining water into a bucket and re-installed ice maker.  As of now, the ice maker is making ice !

Whirlpool Gold Ice dispenser problem

i had same exact problem, i search over and over for solution. I even change the auger moter.

here is the solution for this particular problem.....

with the fridge door closed, remove bottom catch tray under ice dispenser revealing two screws, take off screws and slide front trim up to remove, you will have to unplug switch on trim to fully remove, look in top right corner there is black switch the will most likely be loose, this switch is your problem, mine was basically dislodged and the ice dispenser lever was not making contact, i simply zipped tied and siliconed the switch back to its respective place. if yours is making a good connection then the switch its self must be bad, you can test the switch by using the switch from water dispenser side...

i hope this helps
