Some newer refrigerators have a timer that turns off the light after a given amount of time. The alarm may be there to alert you that the door is open.

2002 explorer anti-theft system activates while I'm in house (static). Might anyone have a probable cause ?

The "Proper" way is to use a scan tool with access to body body theft data. Usually alarm events set a code identifying which trigger set the alarm. "IE - B1234 Left Rear Door Alarm trigger Activation.

Since Most people dont HAVE an IDS or NGS or SnapOn...
You can try activating the alarm. all doors closed with windows down. wait 5 minutes. physically grab the top of each door panel thru the open window and shake the door hard like you were trying to pull it open. If its a marginal switch (usually is) the one thats borderline will trigger "open" with minor shaking and the good ones will show fully closed unless the door is in fact fully opened. If the shake test triggers the alarm on 1 door, then you know its either the pin switch (if it has one, not all do) or the door latch out of adjustment or defective.

Why does my 1999 Lincoln Continental alarm system go off by itself and then shut off after 5 or 10 minutes?

this could be the door striker plastic has broken off this is the post sticking out of the frame when you close the door the lock closes around the striker to keep the door closed this striker could also have moved slightly from opening/closing the door thousands of times try this open your windows get out close all doors set the alarm wait a minute then try to lightly move the door/s in and out by grabbing the door at the rear part where the door locks to the frame where the striker is if it has any play in it the connection will break and this will make the alarm think the door has opened and the alarm will sound getting the door to close tighter will stop it from happening this is also true for the trunk if you press down on the trunk or your able to pull up on it a little the same thing will happen its loose and will trigger the alarm if this is not the problem I would then go to the door pin switches that turn the lights on/off when the door is opened/closed especially if the alarm was aftermarket installed but you can be sure the alarm thinks that something is opened and the door/trunk/hood are the only places that they are

Beeping & not cooling

Hi Hope, usually when the door(s) have been opened for longer than 10 minutes, an audio alarm sounds and the interior lights shut OFF. This protects the liner from melting due to the heat produced by the light bulbs. The alarm will sound every two minutes until the doors are closed. Once the doors are closed, the alarm is reset.

The refrigerator will also beep on some models to inform the user that the door has been left open and the cool air is escaping.

If the alarm keeps on going off after the doors have been closed and unit has been reset, I recommend contacting a professional technician so they can diagnose and repair your refrigerator.

Acura cl alarm problems???

To all you Acura alarm sufferers. In the immediate term to appease your neighbors - open the door and reclose, leaving the door ajar enough that the interior door light is still on. Be sure to turn off the roof light so no one is cued your car door is ajar.
When you can go under the hood, remove the fuse - I think it is 15 - the fuse box cover has a diagram. I left the fuse out for a couple of hours and reinserted it. That broke the pattern for 7 months.
It is 89 degrees in chicago today, the alarm went off at the train station and I got a ticket for noise disturbance.
It's time to look at the fuse box again. i think extreme temps are the problem.

Westinghouse Model WSE6070WB*5 Error code: Cn Er

I recently had this message on my Westinghouse fridge. The CN and ER message stands for Connection Error. This is due to a power surge.
I suggest you disconnect the power cord from the powerpoint and switch off for 5 minutes.
When connecting, if you have a double power point use the other head as the initial one may be faulty and this may have caused the power surge.
Hopefully this will fix the CN ER message to disappear.

Interior lights stay and alarm goes off every time i lock it

Your car thinks a door is open , thus the light stays on. When you lock the doors with the remote it activates the alarm system. 10 sec later it senses that the a door is open and alarm sounds.
I have a 99 passat as well and I just went outside to see where the switch on the door is. Can't see one anywhere , it must be inside the door (part of the latch mechanism). I tried to arm the alarm system by locking the doors with the remote while the door was still open , sure enough the alarm went off about 15 secs later.
