Youtube shows a black screen instead of the video whats the problem with it

check if you have a 'trusted'media player on your computer and check for other random media players they might be messing with your system.

If you hit full screen on the youtube video and its not full screen, then it sounds like your monitor resolution is to low.

Rt click on a place on your screen and pick screen resolution, then pick resolution and increase it.

The first number is width, so say it's on 800x600 then go 1024x768

some phones are too low speck for videos try charging it and shutting down the phone maybe the phone is to low spec to cope with the video you are playing.

Do a system restore and bring computer back to a earlier time before this happened, will fix most issues.

the black screen indicates that you will up-grade your flash player and you can download the flash player from the official website of the adobe flash player and install it and then you can see youtube videos easily

my computer not a laptop won't let me watch youtube videos and i even downloaded the flash player

When this happened to me, I did the following. I have a Windows Vista Operating system. On my browser tool bar, I clicked on Tools, then Internet Options. On the Security tab, I clicked on Reset Defaults for all 4 zones (internet, intranet, allowed sites, and blocked.) I then had to reboot. I hope this helps.

It may be cause of different reasons, at first you should find the source of problem.Maybe your OS, maybe your Browser, Your connection, Your Flash player, and maybe youtube! So, at first I suggest you to install latest version of flash player from adobe website, Also check that by other browsers like IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera and ... .
But
check this way:
1. Right-click in the standard youtube video window (non-full screen). 2. Choose 'Settings...' from the Flash Player's pop-up menu. 3. Uncheck the 'Enable Hardware Acceleration' 4. Click 'Close'.
Full-screen should now work, or at least it did for me. Some kind of Flash incompatibility with latest Firefox build, it would seem. I am running vista, so maybe that has something to do with it, as well.
