No thats not normal real JACK HAMMERS on AIR ??? but its not Milwaukee not Bosch not Dewalt but a China brand? if you are have a real jack hammer then its not the right collum because its placed under Hammer drills? and you have also not possible speaking about maybe a little weight rotary hammer ? because ONLY real demolition and jackhammers are very specially made for the long lasting jobs !!! but the weight and power is very important by use the right tool for the right job the most rotary hammers ( exept brands like Hilti and Duss) are not made for long lasting jobs and are made for only working for a short time. its also makes the great price difference between a hammerdrill a rotary hammer a real demolition or a real jackhammer is much higher price. The tools on air Atlas Copco or Ingersoll for the hard and heavy jobs
If you have bought your tool by a hardware store and it is a real jack hammer go immediately back its possible that you are wrong informed by the seller or the budget was the fact. about the price for the tool maybe you have a real jackhammer but have choose a to little model size machine to do the job or its a budget brand online bought China machine. Its a simple question but a hard answer, difficult questions do not exist but difficult answers sometimes.
Regard and luck by warranty and a very small change maybe it is just only a factory flaw.

Do you have to grease the Hilton Te72 hammer drill

I'm guessing you do! I just bought a Harbor Freight Hammer Drill (which probably isn't as expensive as your Hilton but I won't be using it that much so I wasn't going to buy and expensive one!) but there is a reservoir with a cap that they provided a little tool to remove. once removed, the pocket is filled with grease and it says right on the Harbor Freight drill to replace the grease after so many hours of usage. One thing I did notice when I was using the drill was that it would get really hot at the chuck...where the drill bit is placed. I opened the cap and the grease was pretty much gone so I put more in there. The grease they gave me seems to liquify when it gets hot and runs out the chuck. So if you have the same symptoms of this grease leaking out when the drill get's hot..my guess is you need grease too! Look online for you model and see if they show you where to put it...if you need it that is?

How to put oil in Hitachi H65

OIL ?? I think Hitachi has always a yellow grease lubrication
hitachi grease demolition hammer Google zoeken never seen heart of oil in Hitachi demolitions. but there could be models in your Country thats new for me .
Otherwise BOSCH HILTI and the one and only brand DUSS demolition hammers and also a few brands of Chinese hammers need oil lubrication . an expensive sinc-free hydraulic oil the same as used in some pressure washers life lasting oil but for HItachi look at the link for the grease 2 tubes a enough . good luck and dont forget the piston pin to replace with a new not only the gaskets and o-rings and also the oil and dirt seals on the front where the striking pin is that must be absolutely not air leaking because all your work burns in a few months again out . you can start all-over again.

Takes a half hour to start rotary hammer function

All grease packed hammers require a certain period of time to warm up. Depending on the room temperature, this time may vary from approximately 15 seconds (90'F) to 2 minutes (32'F). A new hammer requires a break-in period before full performance is realized. This period may require up to 5 hours of operation.
- depending on the time the device has already been in use it is recommended it should be regreased with a special gear lubricant, - perhaps the grease inside has been used up already, then a proper function of the device is not possible anymore and it has to be serviced.

Cordless sds leaving grease on sds bits

There is supposed to be grease on the chuck end of SDS+ and SDS Max bits. Actually, you should put a little lightweight grease on the end of the bit every time you put one in your drill. If you, or noone who has ever used the drill, have ever done this, it is possible internal grease is leaking out of the drill and it should not. There are seals to prevent internal grease from getting out of the transmission and striker mechanisms. If you are loosing internal grease, these seals should be checked.

Bosch 11247 rotary hammer will not hammer

SAME ISSUE *****SOLVED*****

You were on the right track but needed to go farther with top description without disassembly!!

I have a barely used Hammer drill also that will rotate and run motor but does not hammer in any position.

Grease is the issue.....

Heat and sitting causes the grease to weep out & even a small amount of dust binds up the hammer drill.

******SOLUTION*****

GREASE, GREASE & MORE GREASE....

REMOVE BIT....SQUIRT IN ALOT OF THE BOSCH GREASE HOLD LOCKING CHUCK OPEN. INSERT A SPLINED BIT INTO THE HOLE AND PLUNGE GREASE IN SLOWLY SEVERAL TIMES. REMOVE BIT & REFILL GREASE & REPEAT.....VOILA.....HAMMER WORKING AGAIN....

BE SURE TO USE LOTS OF GREASE & DUST COVERS ON Bosch HD WHEN WORKING. WE ALL ERROR AND FAIL TO MAINTAIN FROM TIME TO TIME!

A friend of mine recently purchased a Makita HM1500B demo hammer. It came without grease. How much grease is required to initially fill the case? Is there a different type of grease that can be used?

If this was a new unit, it comes with the proper amount already in the gearcase. You might need some for the hammer bits (a small amount of lithium grease) but other than that until the tool needs repaired you should not have to add any.

I have a Hitachi demo hammer modle # H 65 When I frist was using it the bit had oil on it. When I got done using it I cleand it all up.When I went to use it again there wasent any oil on the bit after I...

Demo hammers do not oil/grease the bit. The grease in the tool is to lubricate and cool the parts in there doing the hammering. The bit should have grease on the end going into the hammer to make it work in the tool better and make it easier to take out when you are done. You have to put the grease on the bit yourself.

How do I drain the gear oil from a Bosch Brute Jack Hammer

Brute hammer uses special grease sold as service kit. This kit contains enough grease to lube hammer and replacement bolts that hold springs along the bottom. Check www.toolpartsdirect.com for parts and kit. Remove the lower half (tube) of hammer, also remove three bolts that hold springs and remove assembly from tube. Wash out old grease. Grease will be oil-like only when hammer is very hot, otherwise grease is paste-like. Good luck.

Hammer drills and rotary hammers comparison

Basically yes. Lower power units are usually titled as "hammer drills." Higher power units, usually labeled "rotary hammers," tend to be larger and provide bigger impact forces. But there are a few differences that are worth knowing: The rotary hammer usually have a chisel only feature, for light chiseling and masonry removal. Rotary hammers also have specially designed chucks that only accept bits specifically designed to fit their chuck. The special chuck on a rotary hammer helps hold the drill bit and prevents it from slipping during use.
