SOURCE: Dacor Oven

Depending on your model it is usually at the top behind the "grill" of the oven that is not working. Take out the screws aournd the oven latch (usually for cleaning) and slide out the grill. The limit switch is either over the latch or to the side. If it popped, just put it back with a screw driver. If that is not the issue, then it it could be a bigger issue.

Dacor Epicure Dual Fuel Range ERD36SACH/LP The oven only heats in pure covection.

f resetting the high temp limit switches did not resolve the issue, it may be a problem with the broiler and bake elements themselves or with the wiring and connections that supply power to them. It would be best to have a qualified technician inspect and diagnose the issue to determine the necessary repairs.

I want to re-set high temperature limit control,

if you open the oven door all the way, then, look under the control panel (where the top of the oven door seats) you will see a plate that has 6 to 8 screws holding it in place.Remove the screws of that plate with a phillips screwdriver. You will possibly need a flashlight to look inside the space where the reset switch is located... but it is THERE. Make SURE that you TURN OFF the circuit breaker or... UNPLUG the range... B4 you proceed to reset. Look for the Red Button on the back side of one of the limit control switches. Press it in till it clicks. (sometimes you'll hear it... sometimes you wont). Plug baack in ro reset your breaker switch, Turn on your oven and see if it works. If it does... then replace the vent plate close your oven door and now your cook"n with gas...well... electricity really.

DACOR IS A PEICE ****

The hi limit thermostat probably tripped during self clean. It can be manually reset. Turn off the power and remove the grill under the control panel. There is a two wire switch behind the door latch press in the red button on the switch. Reassemble and turn on the power. If it works you can reset the cooling fan to run longer which could cure your problem. Press and release upper broil button, press and release the up arrow, then hold down the broil button until it reads COOL 000. Press the up arrow until it reads COOL 200. Press cancel. Done.

Dacor single oven flashes an F2 error code and won't stop beeping!!!

This is from manufacture service manual:

-F2- Alarm Heating Mode High Temperature
Is activated when the ERC senses a runaway heat condition or when the temperature exceeds
“runaway limits”. The ERC will beep until the cancel or another function is selected. If the alarm
repeats the F2 alarm check the oven sensor and wiring after fi rst checking for a stuck relay. If alarm
goes away verify the oven will complete a clean cycle without any type of failure.
Another words the problem with oven sensor or relay board.

Dacor ECPS130 fan won't shut off

Hi, Dacor has a Technical Manual that may help you with your problem. It has a ECS wall mount oven but does not list a ECPS. Is your listing of the model correct? Here is a link to download the Technical Manual. https://www.scribd.com/doc/14008662/Dacor-Technical-Manual
Hope it helps.

like another person stated-from the front behind the door, take off the 6 screws and the cover by the latch. there is an "oven hi temp limit switch" It is crome with 2 heavy black wires connected to it. On the back side of this is a small red button which will reset the limit switch. I had the same issue (everything worked except the any of the heating elements) and quickly resolved.

My Dacor ECD230 stopped heating???

The high limit switch has tripped on this unit. Remove the vent panel behind the door and there will be a button in there behind the wires. Press this button with the circuit breaker turned off and that will rectify the problem. You still might need a servicer out to take a look at the unit though

My Dacor wont heat, broil or convection after self cleaning. No heat but everything else works

I also have a Dacor Model PCS130. This solution worked AND saved me from spending $50-$105 for a service technician to come out just to look at the problem. The high temperature sensor tripped when I kept the door open part way while broiling (never listen to friends who don't have the same oven as yours). Afterwards, I couldn't get the oven to go above the prebake temperature of 135°F using any of the settings (bake, broil, convection bake, etc...). I called Dacor customer service and they told me about the high temperature sensor but wouldn't say how to reset it. They suggested I call a third party technical service company and gave me their numbers. But, I'm glad I found this site... All you have to do is open the oven door and you'll see the grille/grate/steel cover plate where the door latch sticks out of. If you look inside, you can see the electronics that operate the door latch as well as the temperature sensor unit a little farther back. You can even see the RED reset button. But, it's a little too far back for you to press it without removing the cover plate. 6 screws is what holds my cover plate in place. Once that's off, you can reach in and press the RED reset button (I pressed it twice just to make sure) and you'll hear it click. Screw the cover plate back in place. Close the oven door and test it out. It took my oven about 5 minutes to heat up past 135°F so I was unsure if the problem was fixed or not during that time. But, once the oven heated up sufficiently, the temperature began climbing fairly quickly and I was able to breath a sigh of relief. It works! This is such an easy fix, I don't know why Dacor customer support doesn't just tell us how to do it ourselves instead of paying for a service tech to come out and do the same thing. Even better, maybe they should make the reset button more easily accessible (like on the control panel) if they're concerned about people getting in and messing up the other electrical connections when trying to reset the high temperature switch. Computers are far more technically advanced than your oven and THEY have reset/reboot buttons right in front.
