How old is Battery ? They don't last as well & long as they used to. Could be DUFF cell in battery, if 1 cell duff, battery then usless.
Otherwise try rechage the battery from Battery Charger, if charge does not then hold , battery is dead.

i did learn that to reset one of these touch phones all you have to do is take out the batt and press the power button 3 times in a row put the batt back in and turn it on. This is the fix to any freezing you might have.

I just took the thing apart. Unscrewed front cover and just pokeing around with a feeler gage and it started working.

usually on the bottom of the mouse is a small slide type door with a small indent
slide it open and change batteries, if for any reason mouse were not to work still, look for the reset bottom on bottom of mouse and press it and you might even have to hit reset button of the eye also.
I mention this because of batteries if they are all the way dead sometimes you will have to reset.
keyboard is the same way

If light on bottom does not come on can only be one of 2 things

A Duff batteries

B Mouse is a bin job.

Did you clean the contacts between the rubber remote buttons and the wafer board below it? Rubbing alcohol works best. Sometimes when enough dirt gets in, it gets harder to work. If you HAVE cleaned that, I got nothing for you... Get a video camera and see if it is sending a signal at all, and determine that the problem is with the remote and not the IR receiver.
