How long u have this RCA analoge tv?Around 10 years or more and used it like about 5 or 6 hrs everydays?Yes,than ur tv it is losing CRT tube radiation cohetion.As times go bye years in years out the tv CRT-(tv tube) radiation will slowly dying out,Tv actual pictures will lost some of it luster and it brightnesses to the tv auctual pictures.Brightnesses of CRT tube will get darker and darker until the tv actual pictures barely it is watchable anymore.Contrast,Brightness and Colors adjusting more will help some.But u have to take this tv aparts and take a Flat scerw driver turn up a little bit more of the tv HV-(high voltage) SCREEN button on the FBT-(flyback transformer) to make any big differences of the CRT tube brightnesses.The FBT-(flyback tranformer) is the big block of plastic with a red wire with a black cap hook up to the tv CRT-(tv tube).This adjustment on of the FBT,HV-SCREEN button will help the tv CRT-(tv tube) last another year or two.

marks inside the tv glass should only be cleaned by a professional because you may damage the extremely sensitive parts of the television, if its not to bothersome to you , you should ignore it as you will probably be charged an arm and a leg for this,(i know from experience)

you can also try adjusting the picture settings until it becomes less noticeable

Hi, This is a convergence problem and you can set it right by changing the STKs. It is a professional job and i have knowledge of people who ruined their tv by spoiling some miniature surface mounted components close by. You may need to look at pico fuses too. Have you tried hitting the format picture button on your remote control. Seems the picture is in zoom mode. If you have a cable box for HD Channels then look on the remote for a button (format) or Screen size.

Ur convergence is dead,go to ebay.com buy the convergence repair kit.Find out ur make and models,and manufactures of ur TV buy it.
All big projection DLP have this prob. one time or other every manufactures,Sony,Samsung,RCA,many others.

How old is the set. im guessing from my research the set could be about 4 to 6 years old?.... this could be many things but first thing i would guess is the fluid in the tubes could be getting old..as they age the fluid grow alge and blurrs the image. also dirt and smoke tend to dirty the lens on the crt. most tv shops can change this fluid. If they do the tend to charge quit abit. our shop would charge between 250 to 400 to do this. I find this to be a rather involed repair. removeing 3 crt remove the fluid cleaning the tube and replaceing and adjusting them. so first thing is to clean the lens and the mirror

# 1 above you have covergence problems ,there is a service flash from rca to fix your fault,ask your tv shop. fault # 2 above turn off the color and adjust your screen settings for a grey picture,set brightness and contrast to middle settings. # 3 fault read #1 cause if your auto focus will not correct you require service there is a harness connector that looses connection and causes several fualts on the 52" rca's you can repair the fault but if you miss the harness replacement you will do it again.
