Peg Perego Gaucho. Why is shifter backwards?

Once you have check the battery for power, the shifter for operation, the motors powered up to the battery, and the accelerator, the only part left is the control board.

you must have a bad motor, is it a 12 or 24 volt?

check for loose wiring at the foot pedal, shifter switch, and the motors

first of all check for at least 12 volts from the battery and the charger, you can test this using a multimeter, if the battery doesn't show any volts, lift up one side of the blue plastic housing on the top and verify that both the positive and negative wires are plugged in, then check for power at the foot pedal, then at the shifter, then at the motors

you would need 24 volt motors and the circuit board, and shifter switch, and foot pedal switches

probably a bad/disconnected shifter switch first of all check to make sure that the shifter switch is connected underneath

I had the same problem with my grandsons gator and I replaced the shifter switch. I called the peg perego department at 1.801.655.0800 and they sent me a couple of switches.

I have the same issue. Called their customer service and they said it was a defect in the charging system. They are sending a upgrade kit for free, but when it's installed you can't charge the battery using the rear port anymore. No big deal. I'll report back when the fix is complete. 5-7 days until it gets here.
