Needle threader won't work on my Singer 4423

Hi there,

The needle threader hook is very tiny and easily bent or damaged.
The needle threader is designed not to turn, if the needle is not at its most upper position to protect the threader - Turn hand wheel until needle reaches its highest position.
Needle not alining with threader hook - Replace needle.
Threader hook bent - Replace with new needle threader hook.

Hope this helps.

Good luck & have a nice day!

Automatic needle threader

Usually, the needle needs to be raised so the needle eye will match the threader. However, perhaps your threader has been bent or inadvertently pushed up or out of position.

The needle threader on my Janome 6260 quit working. The needle is inserted correctly.

Is the threader broken or just not meeting the needle eye? If broken, it can most likely be repaired.

If the threader is not meeting the needle eye, adjust the needle height so the threader meets the eye and intercept the thread. I have a 60's machine with a threader that needs the needle height manually adjusted because the needle does not stop in any particular place. Usually, if I raise the needle to its highest, the threader will work.

The needle threader is not lining up with the needle. how do I lower the needle threader?

You don't need to adjust the needle threader. You need to adjust the height of the needle so it meets the needle threader. Just hand rotate the hand wheel (always toward you, never backward!) until the needle is at the correct height for the threader.

How do you use a needle threader for a plus 1 viking sewing machine

If it's the viking needle threader that was made for this machine, you would mount the needle threader over the needle screw. The part that fits over the needle screw of the needle threader is an eccentric. You rotate it until the hook of the needle threader slips into the eye of the needle. Once that happens you mearly put the thread in front of the threader hook and pivot the needle threader back out of the needle.

How do I use the automatic threader? The diagram in the instruction manual just shows the threader but doesn't show how to get the thread in.

When you have the threader engaged to the needle hold the thread between your two hands horizontally and slide the thread behind the needle starting from the bottom up until you feel it stop then pull the threader gently out toward the back of the machine. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get the hang of it

How do I theard the needle on the 5050C singer machine?

does the machine have a needle threader? first if so, pull it down and put the thread behind the left side of the threader and loop the thread around toward the needle then go behind the finger of the threader hold the thread back against the needle and slightly pull upwards pull the threader forward and gently let go with the right hand of the thread and the needle will pull the thread through, second if the machine doesn't have a threader, the easiest way to thread a needle is to buy a needle threader, it is a device that you put through the eye of the needle and put the thread through its hole then just pull the threader back out and the needle is threaded.

Show me how to use the auto threader

Thread the machine to the point where the thread is in the needle bar thread guide. With you left hand hold the upper thread towards you. With your right hand pull down on the threader unit and twist it so the tiny hook goes through the eye of the needle and hold it there. Now take the thread that you are holding in your left hand and pass it to the rear of the machine under the small guides on the threader hook. Release the threader mechanism and the thread and the tiny hook should pull a small loop through the eye. Pull on this small loop (which will be on the right side) all the way through the eye.
Viola!

good luck!
