The phone lines are displayed on their respective buttons. The intercom system is a separate system used to call from phone to phone by pressing the intercom button and dialing another phone's extension number or pressing a button with another phone's extension number pre-programed into it. Transferring a call you're on is done by pressing the TRANSFER button, followed by dialing another phone's extension number or pressing a button with another phone's extension number pre-programed into it. Then you can either hang up if you hear the dialed extension ring, or if it does not ring but makes a single beep, then Auto-Answer is on on the called phone, and you must announce the call (speak) so the intended call recipient knows there's a call being transferred to them. The called extension user may pickup and speak to you (call screening) or if you hang up before they answer, they'll be connected directly to the calling transferred party. If the transferred call is not answered after a pre-programmed time (30 seconds by default which is usually too short), your intercom button will flash and your phone may ring as the unanswered transferred call comes back to you. I hope this is what you mean when you asked about "transferring the incoming call to intercom".
