Replacement electrical cord or just the female connector.
Some vandals cut my hose and cord for this pump. Is there a source for a replacement electrical cord. I can splice this together if I had the female connector, that was unfortunately damaged too. Lowes sells the pump but the local store has no idea about a replacement cord.
If Lowes has a pump in stock, ask them to show you the female connector. They probably have it ins stock, or get the NEMA number and google search for it.If Lowes has a pump in stock, ask them to show you the female connector. 1.Purchase a Grounding Connector from your local hardware or home improvement store. A 3-Wire, 15-Amp, 125-Volt should work for you.
2.Cut the old connector off of your cord.
3.Remove 1 inch of the plastic insulation from the cut end.
4.Strip the ends of the exposed wires.
5.Disassemble the new connector. Usually small Phillips screws are used.
6.Connect the stripped ends of the wires to the new connector.
7.Reassemble the connector.
shut off the water disconnect the drain hose from where it plugs into your drain and check not only the hose but also where it plugs into your drain alot of times there is some sludge that gunks up the drain line where it goes into the drain. If this is clear then you would have to de-install the entire unit and pull the whole unit out. After you have pulled the entire unit out then you would go to the other end of the drain line and remove this as well and assure that nothing is blocked in that side of the line as well. Question when you said the pump is working did you mean the sump pump and motor assembly or the drain pump is working if you have not checked the drain pump you can remove the drain pump and bench test the drain pump with a extension cord that you cut off the female end and add a couple electrical c clips or female spade connectors this make this extension into a powered jumper wire so you can remove the drain pump and test the pump outside the unit if you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped when our chat has fully concluded Thanks Rick
Parts are few for these machines (all I found was the blower tube). That being said, you can carefully cut off and remove the faulty male plug and replace it with a repair piece like you would add onto a damaged extension cord (outdoor type). They are made of plastic, but are fairly sturdy. Just carefully cut away the old male connector (the shrod isn't really necessary and remove the wiring from it. After purchasing the male-type plug replacement, rewire it and you will be set to go. To eliminate the male cord and the female end of the extension cord you will use from pulling apart when in operation, just loop the female end cord around the cord of the blower and it will hold in place.
i was having the same prob. so i cut the male conector part off the the camera cord and cut like 4" of the black cord part off to expose the wires. there will be 4 colored wires and 1 bare wire cut the bare wire off as close as you can to where you stripped off the black part, then expose the top inch of each color wire. OK now open up the back of the monitor, take the black female connector off you dont need it. you will see a 4 prong female connector part inside cut that off too, then conect the wires black - black / yellow - white / red - orange (i think it was orange) / blue - green . it sounds kinda complicated, but really easy, and now it works great! make sure you use electrical tape or something over bare wires
likley if the pressure hose is is a hi quality hose and is in good condition
you can get a hose doctor to cut it in two where the hole is and swage / crimp male and female water blaster hose connectors back on to make an pressure tight coupling
if it is a cheaper hose i would recommend replacement
mike if you are still having this problem, i figgured out how to fix it. i was having the same prob. so i cut the male conector part off the the camera cord and cut like 4" of the black cord part off to expose the wires. there will be 4 colored wires and 1 bare wire cut the bare wire off as close as you can to where you stripped off the black part, then expose the top inch of each color wire. Yes you can replace the entire cord, or you can splice the cord back together. Get some crimp on wire connectors get a tube of heat shrink that will fit over the cord, cut back the insulation crimp, the wires back together (match color to color). heat the shrink or tape it up. Back in business.
