Using Bluetooth to Synch iPhone with Lexus ES350 2009 Phone Book

To turn on bluetooth, Go to Settings app and it will be either on that screen or under "General". Once your bluetooth is on, turn on any other bluetooth device you would like to connect your phone to. This can be a bluetooth speaker for music or a bluetooth headset for phone calls. On some devices you are trying to connect, they must be set to "discoverable" mode. If they are on and searching, they should appear on the bluetooth page of your iPhone (Still under the settings app). Click on the name of the devices you are trying to connect to your phone. If it asks you for a passcode, the default used by most devices is "0000"

The problem with the iPhone 3GS is that it can only detect audio devices through Bluetooth (if your using Bluetooth) an alternate you could do is look in the app store for a Bluetooth file transfer

Hi, I have an iPhone also, you don't connect to other phones anymore, like if you did with normal mobile, if say you searched in a full room of people with the iPhone you would just find the printer in the corner!?!?, bizarre i know, but thats Apple for you, (2 steps forward, 5 backwards) you just connect to Bluetooth appliances like, your car, printer, pc/mac.. Hi, to pair bluetooth you need to do following:

1. turn off tooth
2. turn off bluetooth function on the iphone
3. push on and hold it on the bluetooth until solid blue light comes up
4. turn on bluetooth on the iphone, it finds it in 2 sec, password 0000


iPhone is not perfect, but it's one of the BEST phone ever made. Have it for 2 years and enjoy every second of it

Bluetooth is a universal technology, so you should be able to get your iphone and the bluetooth paired up. You will need to turn the bluetooth on on the iphone and have it search for new devices; put the bluetooth in pairing mode, usually by holding down the power button for a few seconds. You will see a request for a pin code on the iphone- it usually is either 1234 or 0000. Check with the bluetooth manual to make sure of the exact steps.

Just on home screen Settings > General > Bluetooth > Switch on Bluetooth, & also switch on bluetooth of another devise with you pairing with iphone 3Gs. I phone wil discover this device. Use passkey & get paired.

My Jabra Halo works to play iPhone's iPod music as well as phone calls. So does Jabra Arrow, I'm told. The bluetooth must have A2DP.

iPhone has had bluetooth since the first model in 2007. With iPhone OS/firmware 3.0 (free for all iPhone users), iPhones are fully A2DP compliant and link with Mazda bluetooth.
My current experience is with a 2010 Mazda3 and iPhone 3GS, where I get phone and iPod functionality via bluetooth (yes, without jailbreaking), though the steering-wheel controls are limited to play/pause and volume only.

You can't as iPhone support only handsfree profile via bluetooth.
