Unable to get tvchannels after using dvd

I would either call JVC to see if known issue or to inquire if set has a lockout feature that kills remote and all button features----other possible reason in main board with all micro functions has a problem.

If your remote is working, switch to using the tuner by using the "source" or "input" button on the remote. Usually it will have an input for "tuner" or "tv." If your TV is working, that should do it. If it switches but you don't get any channels, then you should ensure that the signal is good.

thethe wires have to run out of your cable box into the dvd recorder then back out to the tv,try rehooking it up

Make sure in the menu that you have the tuner set to Cable Mode, then auto program again. Hope this helps.

what type of cables are you using? are you using the HDMI cable that comes with the unit? your tv also has to be HD compatitable.

some dvd/vhs tuners do have this locked issue and since poor qc or qa on the manuf. part , they think since items are low cost anyways buy another one.

some tv's default to channel 2 after being unplugged.since it is a older tv ,the buttons on the remote and the tv maybe worn down.on the tv itself try pushing the buttons down a liitle harder. if you have aux or line in/video inputs,scroll down on the channel button to log into a aux channel for the dvd player.as for the remote try buying a cheap universal remote to see if that works.

Hi, try switching your tv to channel 3 or 4 and see if that works- there should be a switch on the back of your DVD player beside the Coaxial Cable outputs-it will allow you to use Channel 3 or 4 as the default to play dvd's. I hope that helps-if more detail or wiring diagram is needed-please leave make and model numbers and i'll try to help.

in order to solve the complect of channel/ choose one / if tv is digital in line w/dvd is digital.
If your your recorder is analogue choose use analogue channel.
