My ipod only has a 20 min. battery life, but the weird thing is that once it dies if i leave it alone for about 20 min. or so and turn it back on it will work for about another 15 minutes.
It depends on how often you have let the iPod charge run down to 0%
After a while (1-2 years), the rechargeable battery loses its ability to hold a good charge. You can order a replacement from any online specialty electronics store.

First off, try changeing from tone dial to pulse dial and try calling out. If that does'nt work, touch bad is probly bad. As far as the speaker phone it does not work off battery's it works from the main base which is powered from the A/C. And for the battery life, when you have a cordless phone you have to build the life to the battery, what I mean is : first time you charge it for 12-14 hours, after that use the phone and do not put it back into cradle, the battery will hold a charge for 8 hrs, if you use it for 30 mins and put back on cradle untill next use, use another 30 min and continue doing this the battery will build its life to 30 min and always die after 30 min, try to get into leaveing off cradle all day and charge while you sleep and keep off cradle all day.
Here are a few things to check:
Electronic Control Unit
Fuses/Relays
Distributor
Alternator
The ECU may cause weird things to happen with the electronics, but shouldn't affect things haphazardly.
Fuses/Relays would be the last thing to check as they usually don't cause those problems.
Have Autozone/Advanced Auto check your alternator (they do it for free).
And lastly, if it is your distributor, you may notice prolonged problems as the car runs without being fixed.
The lithium iron battery for this conputer is 4000 mA/hrs. or 4 Ampere hours. That means that with a draw of 1 Ampere the computer would be useable off the battery for 4 hours. Since you can't run off the battery below a certain voltage you can deduct 20% leaving a battery life of a little over three hours.
It takes electrical power to run the ignition system on your bike. If your alternator is not providing that power it must come from the battery. When the battery is out of power, the bike dies. You have a problem in your bikes electrical system. MOST likely is a faulty battery, but could also be alternator or other piece in the system.
I read somewhere that even with a functional lyra, when it displays "battery full", you should keep charging for another hour. This is said to extend battery life and give you an extra 2-3 hours of power.
Either this is perfectly normal, or it indicates that the battery reading tends to be inaccurate. In any case, try leaving it charging even after it gives you the message.
Another thing to consider is, how long has it been in the box?
I'm not sure about lithiums, but most rechargeables I know live longer when used. Live it alone for too long and you shorten it's life.
Could be good to get a second opinion on this battery thing though.
If there's a warranty, don't let it waste.
Good luck
I have the same problem- battery lasts maybe 30 minutes.
