you must delete the song on iTunes (or just uncheck it, and tell iPod in the iPod screen on iTunes not to sync checked songs and video) and then sync it for the song to go away. iPod requires iTunes to make changes to your media list.
I think none of you read the question well and rushed to answer it.
The Nano Max Ipod the person is talking about is actually a duplicate model of the original that is available in Dubai. It is a MP4 player with FM RADIO and Voice recorder.
My girlfriend bought the same and now i am puzzled on how to operate it. Device Manager shows it as an "unknown device". Pls Help!!
Solution 1. Go to iTunes, go to Edit, Select All, go to Edit once again, select Delete. This will clear your whole music library. Connect you iPod and let it sync. It will delete everything in your iPod. The problem with this is that it will delete all your music in iTunes as well so you better back it up elsewhere.
Solution 2. Go to iTunes, connect your iPod, let it sync. Do not disconnect your iPod. On the left hand side of the screen you will see "Library", "Store", "Devices", etc. Go to "Devices" and you will see your iPod's name there. Click on it and you will see on the right hand side of your screen your iPod, with some menus tabs. On the first tab (Summary), make sure that "Sync only checked songs" is activated. Then go to the second tab ("Music"). Make sure "Sync music" is activated and "Selected playlists" is also activated. Make sure NONE of the playlists is activated. At the bottom right hand side of the scree there is a button that says "Sync". Press it and it will sync no songs into your iPod. That should clear the songs but leave the contents in iTunes intact. If you want to put some playlists in your iPod, then check only those and only those will be added to your iPod.
I just had this problem as well, i tried everything, so i let it sit here for like a month, while deciding what to do with it. I just found a response today that said if you don't care about losing it try dropping it on the floor a few times, I'm not kidding you that it worked lol. After i dropped it twice I restarted it and the apple logo showed up and works fine now, anyways hope this helps, although i don't know that I'd recommend it for everything it did work for me.
