HIWE HAVE A MASTER COOL SYSTEM,BUT IT HAS BEEN VERY HOT AND HUMID HERE IN EL PASO TEXAS AND THE HOUSE IS SUPER HOT. PEOPLE TELL ME IT IS NORMAL BECAUSE OF THE HUMIDITY, BUT IT IS SUPER HOT, WHAT CAN I CHECK FIRST?
I know there are not that many sites--very few--that cover the informational guidance on the maintenance and technical difficulties of evaporative coolers, and so I feel compelled to share with you this very good, but rare, handyman site that does:
As you'll see, the link above has a section dedicated to evaporative coolers.
As to your specific problem of your cooler's blowing hot air, yes, the humidity is listed as one of six (6) possible causes of this cooler problem. To find out whether the other five causes are applicable to your situation, here is the direct link to the diagnostic article on hot-blowing coolers:
You should be able to review this article, and, one by one, determine what causes listed therein are not affecting your cooler in order to ultimately end up with one remaining listed cause that is the likeliest cause of your cooler's failure to blow cool air into your house.

Smoke or frost? More than likely frost make sure the air filter is clean and evaporator coil is clean this is a sign of low air flow across evap coil or turn fan speed up.
how hot is it outside??? 20 degree split is usually the norm ,,,,,outside 95 then inside will be 75,,,,,where is the line sweating ,,, it should sweat near outdoor unit
First the weather is extremely hot mid 90's and humid.I have a Trane combination a/c heat pump system. The A/C was pumping out warm air.I called for a technician and the problem was the compressor was not working. The solution/fix was to replace compressor start capacitor. The technician was here for about an hour. The compressor was running before he left however I informed him the air coming out of the a/c ducts after one hour of run time did not feel as cool as usual. It took from 1pm until 10 pm at night to cool the house air down to 80 degrees and the system ran constantly.I left it on 80 as that is where I usually leave it. Today again it is running all day barely able to keep the house at 80.My home was built in 07 block house, well insulated with thermal double pane insulated windows.I suggested to the tech to check the refrigerant level but he did not think it necessary and did not perform the check while here. The unit will cool the house down to 80 degrees but runs constantly. My question is: Should I have a technician come check out the system to insure proper refrigerant levels and pressure????????
Blowing air across the windscreen does not necessarily clear away condensate from the inside. Water vapor condenses on any cool surface, and humid air blowing across a cool windscreen will result in more condensate on the windscreen. Often the air that blows across the windscreen is just humid AND heated, and doesn't solve the problem. The air conditioner system performs two functions. Not only does it cool the air, it also extracts moisture, resulting in dryer air. Once the dried air is re-heated in the defroster system, it should allow the moisture on the windscreen to evaporate. In other words, it sounds as though the defroster system is functioning properly.
check capicitor on motor, fan motor bearings may be locking up when they get hot then when cooled the motor comes back on. Then you must replace fan motor.
Check outside unit to see if it is working. If fan is blowing outside put your hand over unit to see if air is warm. If outside unit is running and air is cool. Low on gas or compressor not running. You need to call a service tech to check it out. Also check the brreaker on outside unit. Russ
The one on top probably has no water in it or the pump is not working. Look closely at the front to ascertain if water is being pumped. If not turn electric off and remove one of the side panels with a 1/4 driver. In the reservior there should be water. If not you need to turn water on to unit or adjust/replace float. Also is it's warmer than 100 degrees outside you're unit might be fine...it has limitations.
