Sony ercsson w200i is saying " inactive sim" please help.

Hellow..........
last day i have repaired my sony ercsson w200i cell phone for unlocking phone lock code.now lock code problem is ok. But after repairing, my phone is saying "inactive sim". i have tried with 5 different SIM cards. but still it is showing " inactive sim". why it is? is there any problem with my cell phone hardware or software?

Hi there.... i faced the same problem. i was thinking that it was a problem of my mobile. but when i inserted a new sim, my mobile started working properly. u may try this... gud luck.

    It must network problem... Ya realy... I have repaired tow mobiles.. Change or make jumppers for network..It shoulb clear... By Suresh.. From Tamilnadu.. Any suggestion or Doubt " [email protected] " in facebook or sent mail...

Have you used the sim with the phone before? Maybe your phone is locked by the service provider, so it will not work with a foriegn sim, Or you are having an issue with your connection package, or it could be you have a damaged sim or sim card holder, I Had the same issue with my Sony Ericsson.

I have w200i and my sim card is vodafone and it says on my home page inactive sim and i wondered how do i make it active again?
well that comes from your service provider, it means you did not reloaded your credit balance either your contract expired, either the sim card has expired so try to go to a local dealer for a sim replacement
