Washer set to heavy cycle, fills, runs to 43 minutes then fills again, pause, fills, pause, fills. I push pause and wait 10 minutes, runs rotates for 1 min. then repeats fill, pause, fill pause
Sounds like its syphoning out the water. If it was overfilling, you would have water everywhere, the machine would eventually flood. Check the drain hose. Make sure the end is higher than the water level in the machine and that there are no extensions running outside which have an end lower than the water level in the machine, it will start syphoning, usually after the first pump out.
Testimonial: "It drains okay, put it on the spin cycle and it drained perfectly. On a regular cycle, it fills, runs for 3 to 4 minutes then fills again, and the timer is stuck on the same number as it fills, pauses, fills, pauses, doesn't go through all cycles or drain the water. Checked drain hose, it is okay."
Sorry Peggy, Not sure now. It may as what has been described above regarding blockages but I cant understand why it stops and starts filling but doesn't flood? Eventually, the machine will overfill. Check to see if there are any lint balls or blockages but it is strange that it pumps out OK on spin...

SOURCE: Pause during cycle
Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

Had same problem with GE wssh300 front load washer. Removed two screws from front bottom panel (under washer front). Pulled off panel, loosened screw from a seal ring on the rubber flex hose going to a 4" square plastic housing. Reached down inside and found a ton of lint (probaby a 2" balls worth) jamming outlet. Removed lint an works geat. Very easy to do by tilting front of washer up and putting supports under front to keep elevated. Be careful to make sure supports are sturdy washer can't dop when servicing.

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. You’ll
need to clean the filter which is located on the front bottom of the washing
machine right below the washer window. It is held up by three screws. Take out
the screws and clean the lint. You’ll find in the lint some small clothing,
coins and other small things.
Please do rate the solution and revert for further
assistance.
Thanks

Hello - This particular issue can be caused by quite a few reasons. Washer could be experiencing a communication error from the main control board, faulty door lock assembly or the timer itself is not operating correctly. Did you notice a humming noise? If so, either the drainage hose/pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned or could possibly have another issue with the door lock assembly or pressure switch. You can also press and hold the start/pause and cancel button together at the same time for approximately 30 seconds to display an error code on the LED. What error code does it display? However, I would suggest contacting a professional to accurately diagnose the washer.
