A BIOS or CMOS password is set and entered from a DOS-like prompt after a computer is powered on and before Windows or another operating system loads. If you have a computer with a BIOS password, that has been forgotten, or is unknown, you will not be able to get past the password prompt to boot the operating system or even view what is on the hard drive. Fortunately, there are several methods that can be used to bypass it. Learn these methods to find out how to clear a BIOS password.
Using another computer, load up your Internet browser. Go to this website, and write down the code shown on the locked computer

Unplug the computer and remove all peripheral connections like monitors and printers.

Reduce electrostatic discharge (ESD). Wear a wrist strap to eliminate ESD, or make sure 1 hand is holding a metal piece while you are working inside the computer. Wear rubber soled shoes, and stand on an ESD mat if possible.
Open the computer. Locate the CMOS jumper. The jumper will usually consist of 3 pins, though on the rare occasion, 2 pins (requiring you to supply the jumper itself). This often is labeled with "clear," "cmos," "password" or some abbreviation that indicates it is the password jumper. It is usually located near the CMOS battery, or processor. In laptops, it is often a dipswitch at the bottom of the laptop. Consult your motherboard documentation to find the location if you are unsure of where it is located.

Turn the laptop upside down and remove the plates one by one. Wherever you see a button cell, remove it for a minute or so and then reinsert it and put back all the covers. Power on and boot up the laptop. And remember not to use the password again. And if you have to then use such that you can not forget ever.
