thats a lil odd seems as if the motherboard is trying to determine what speed of ram you have but after about five mins or more if it doesnt do anything try reseating the ram cards if after five mins again try using just one ram card in one slot if it turns on fully turn it off and move the same working ram card to the next slot if any slot fails then that ram slot is dead if you have more then one ram card test it using the same method if the ram card does not work then that ram card is bad

Missing NTLDR fix
Windows xp pro.
Windows will not boot and you get a disk read error
NTLDR is missing

To repair this you will need your windows installation cd.
Step 1. insert windows installation cd and restart the computer.
Step 2. press any key to boot from cd.
Step 3. after the files load press r to repair windows. This will open the recovery console.
Step 4. You will see the Windows file... 1: C:\Windows -- Press 1 and enter
Step 5. Type administrator password if you use one and press enter.
Step 6. go to the directory that your installation cd is in... mine is D so type D; and hit enter
Step 7. type cd i386
Step 8. copy ntldr c:\
Step 9. Your done. Now type exit , remove the installation cd, and restart your computer

If your Laptop has no warranty than you open your laptop back-cover,open your laptop bios battery,turn it on & turn off it again.connect your bios battery again, turn it on and see your bios password has been deleted.

Those are not easy to get to but u will need to dislog the bios battery and re-insert it to remove the password lock.
