My Windows 7 laptop C partition gets a low disk space problem recently and has stopped me installing many interesting games. Do you have any idea for me to expand this partition space?
Many third party partition programs can extend a partition by taking free space on the same disk, like minitool. But on the same disk, if you don't have free space, you may need to migrate OS to a larger SSD.
Expand your C partition space well? Still get the same low disk space problem?
OK! To resolve this low disk space problem, you can try to run this software to freely resize your partition space:
http://www.resize-c.com/
But, if this also makes no difference, your drive partition may not have enough free space there. Just consider buying new one to replace it timely.
Of course, as they've mentioned above, partition data backups in advance is really necessary for you to avoid unexpected data loss.
Back up all important partition data well on another drive and follow this video tutorial to see whether you can add enough free space to this partition:

This video will teach you to extend your partition step by step. It really helped me when my computer drive got the same low disk space problem.
I hope it will help you out, too.
Hey, the ways for you to resolve this low disk space problem could be different according to your different conditions:
* If there is too unnecessary files or programs stored on this C partition, clean them all up to free some free space.
* If there is enough free space on other partition, like D, E or F partitions, you can open Disk Management, delete or shrink the partition with free space and add the free space to your C partition there.
* If the free space is not adjacent to your C partition, you also can use a partition resizing tool to extend this partition space, like GParted, IM-Magic Partition Resizer Free and Active Partition Master, etc.
* But, if there is no any free space left on the same physical drive, just buy a larger one to replace the old one.
No matter what your conditions are, just save all partition data on other places in case of data loss.
Three ways are possible for you to go on:
1). Delete some unnecessary files or programs on your C partitions to free the drive space.
You can have many ways to free up your C partition space, like deleting some useless files/folders, uninstall some unnecessary programs and running the Disk Cleanup tool.
2). Extend your C partition in Disk Management
Back up everything important on another drive, shrink your rest partition with enough free space and extend your C partition by right clicking it in Disk Management.
3). Apply some partition resizing tools.
If you are not so familiar about the partition resizing tuffs, you can directly use some partition resizing tools like: GParted, IM-Magic Partition Resizer Free, Active Partition Master and more:
http://www.partition-magic-server-2003.blogspot.com/2013/11/resize-server-2003-partition-free.html
PS: Always back up everything important well before resizing partition in case of data loss.
You can compress the partition/disk to have more space, or you can use an external storage drive.
