How to get a westinghouse POR667 oven off demo mode.

Purchased a model off the floor, shop forgot to tell us it was in demo mode and how to deactivate it.

DEMO Mode
The oven can be set to operate in a demo (eg in a retail
store) mode. In this mode the oven does not actually heat
If the oven has been inadvertently supplied in this mode.
The following instructions demonstrate how to exit this mode.
1. Ensure the oven is in the off state. Press and hold the +
button until a beep sounds. The 'Demo' text will begin
to flash.
2. While holding the + button turn the function selector to
the first oven function until another beep is heard.
3. Then turn the function selector to the 'off' position.
4. Release the + button.
5. Toggle and hold the temperature selector to the right (+)
until 3 beeps sound.
The 'Demo' text will no longer be lit and the oven will
function normally. If the 'Demo' test is still present then
repeat the above procedure.

SOURCE: floor model will not come out of demo mode.

If following dirctions from your owners manual does not do the trick. I would call for a tech to look at it. Every thing is control by dispenser board on a PSS26P

Hold down the home and help buttons at the same time for about 3 secs and it will come out of demo mode

SOURCE: resetting the demo mode

turn off with OFF sw.
Press WARMER / COLDER sw for 5 seconds
While maintaining warmer / colder turn ON with ON sw.
SHOULD NOW TURN ON

The following is from your Users Manual:

Demo Mode IMPORTANT: This feature is intended for use on the sales floor with 120 V power connection and permits the control features to be demonstrated without heating elements or burners turning on. If this feature is activated, the oven will not work.
1. Press OPTIONS until "DEMO MODE" is displayed.
2. The current setting will be displayed.
3. Press the "1" keypad to adjust the setting.
4. Press START to save the setting.

DEMONSTRATION MODE – PROGRAMMABLE CONTROLLER MODELS
For display purposes, the appliance has a demonstration mode to enable demonstration of oven functionality without consuming power. In demonstration mode, the display, the light and the fan only are operational.
When the appliance is in demonstration mode and the display is switched on, the clock symbol will be on.
If the appliance is in demonstration mode, to operate the appliance normally the demonstration mode will need to be deactivated.
To deactivate demonstration mode:
1. Ensure the oven is off by pressing the ON/OFF button. 2. Press and hold the ON/OFF button until the display turns
ON then OFF and a single ‘beep’ is heard. Immediately after press and hold the ‘Timer’ and ‘–’ buttons simultaneously, until a triple beep sounds to confirm
the operation.

It sounds like the unit is in demo mode, they usually have a small d on the screen, try holding the "kitchen timer" pad down for 5 seconds, it should then work, if that doesnt apply to your model look in the trouble shooting guide of your owners manual, it will explain how to deactivate "demo" mode there...Phil

Demo Mode

press and hold the mode button for more than five seconds. Then use the knob to scroll to "Default". This sets the stove to normal operation.
