SOURCE: poulan 2150 w/ walbro wt324 carb fuel line reassembly

the fule line that comes from the filter/ pick up will go straight to the nipple usualy the one closest to the middle of the carby.
the other hose comes from the carby to the in or **** side( punp it you can feel it)of the primer and then goes to the tank that is the return/ prime, nothing is conected to it in the tank. if you have the carby one the wrong way around it will not prime. just swap them over..

SOURCE: fuel line replacement

I recommend remove all fuel from the tank. Remove the hose from tank to carb. take the tube with you, when getting new hose.

The IPL (exploded parts list) for your saw is the only detail for fuel line routing and it is sketchy at best; components are listed but may be on different illustrations.

I think this is your saw please ensure I am correct.

Take some pics first then a small sample of the different fuel lines to your local chainsaw seller. A little extra is agood idea, I have not found a good fuel line stretcher and I have been looking. Probably a good idea to replace the fuel filter too.

Leave the hoses a little long an try it. Logic says the uppermost carburetor connection goes to the priver bulb, but you and I both know logic does not always work.

How do the fuel lines rout on a homelite 45 including from tank, primer bubble to the carbeurator

Without the UT number from the saw won't be able to give more detail carburetor hookup. Here is a generalize fuel hook-up diagram.
Depending on the carburetor both of the fuel lines can be on one side only. The suction line connection for the primer is usually closest the the metering diaphragm.25331542-pzxv2dmyt02yqunciumgycfv-5-0.png

Easy way to install fuel line and primer bulb return line into gas tank

Chainsaw fuel lines enter the gas tank from holes in top of tank. They are sized for a tight fit to prevent leakage. Make it easy on yourself when pushing the line through the tank by cutting a long lengthwise taper cut with razor knife 3 inches or longer to easily feed through that tight hole. Once started you will then have to grab it through the gas cap hole with needle nose pliers, then cut the tapered end flush and add fuel filter. Readjust inside length by pulling from above, then cut to length to upper carb fitting. If connecting to primer bulb a filter is not required and make sure the line goes to fitting on primer bulb marked tank.

It will start and idle, but when ypu open the throttle it dies, from lack of fuel.

Need diagram of fuel lines from tank to primer bulb and carburator on a Poland chainsaw model 1950 wood shark

There are 7 different types of the 1950 model (types 1 - 7) and it came with one of these 2 carbs Walbro or Zama. The carbs are different as are the fuel line connections for each one.
Although this video is for the promer bulb you can see the routing of the fuel lines.
http://www.ereplacementparts.com/article/4262/How_to_Replace_a_Primer_Bulb.html

You will have one line from the fuel tank connecting to primer bulb the 2nd line going to the carb. If you connect it backward it does not pump fuel into the carb.

Kelly
(FYI Types 1 - 5 all have the same fuel line routing.)

Fires but will not continue. fresh gas, plug's ok. ???

Does the primer bulb fill with fuel after several pumps? Check the fuel filter, air filter, and muffler for plugging. Check the condition of the fuel lines. Make sure the carburetor fasteners are tight. Is the fuel properly mixed with modern synthetic saw oil (50:1 ratio)? If no help, go to: http://www.drystacked.com for a 12 page article on Walbro brand carburetor theory and troubleshooting. Hope some of this helps!

Its sparking but not fireing for homelite 42 cc chainsaw. wat could it be ?

Try pouring a small amount of fuel mix into the spark lug hole and try for start. If it pops several times, then check the fuel filter, air filter, and muffler for plugging. Check the condition of the fuel lines and primer bulb. Does the primer bulb draw fuel into itself after several pumps? If still no help, go to: http://www.drystacked.com for a 12 page PDF article on Walbro brand carburetor theory and troubleshooting help. Pay particular attention to the location of the lower chamber gasket as shown in the article. Hope this helps!

Homelite 10540 chainsaw 35CC chainsaw won't start when hot

Go to: http://www.drystacked com for a 12 page article on Walbro carburetor theory and troubleshooting. Check particularly, the position of the gasket in the lower chamber. Check the spark plug for blue, snappy spark when the engine is hot. If ok, place a small amount of fuel mix in the cylinder and try for start. If it pops several times, look to the fuel system. Check the fuel filter, air filter, and muffler for plugging. Does the primer bulb fill with fuel after several pumps? Check the fuel lines for decay or other damage. When the engine is hot, try not using the choke, but set the fast idle. Hope some of this helps!

Homelite chain saw fuel system

The line at the back of the tank gets the filter (check it for plugging) and the one nearest the cap doesn't use a filter (it is the return line from the primer bulb). The filtered line goes directly to the carburetor inlet port and the outlet port allows fuel to be pulled through the carburetor and out to the primer port. Check and replace any fuel lines that are in poor condition. If the engine has been running with the intake filter missing, the interior of the carburetor may be full of debris. Remove, dismantle, and clean the carburetor interior. Go to: http://www.drystacked.com for an excellent 12 page article on Walbro carburetor theory and troubleshooting. Hope this helps!
