It does not list a 9988A, but I would imagine there is not much difference in how the threading and bobbin is done. This is a page of instructions as well as a manual to download. you need a new bobbin case, only problem is finding the right one. I am currently wasting hours trying to find one for our 9110 intelli sew which has needle holes punched through it from where it jumps right out. I think lots of manufacturers know fine which parts fit the Euro-Pro but would like all of us to scrap them and go out and buy theirs!

Hi. This machine takes regular class 15 bobbins found in stores like Wal-mart. You can use metal or plastic. However, metal is preferred. You can use any press on attachments made be singer on this machine.
