There is a thermal fuse on the back of the oven that has probably popped (opened up). It looks kind of like a little top-hat tieh 2 terminals sticking out of it. On some models, this is resetable (it has a little red reset button in the center which you can press to reset), but in most models, it is not resetable, and you have to replace it.

SOURCE: Frigidaire Electric Range error code

Hi jacksmdmat,
Your f30 problem may be a bad sensor circuit. It may have an open connection or just plain defective sensor. Check the connection between the clock and the sensor as well as disconnect and measure the resistance of the sensor - should be about 1090ohms at room temp (75F)

ONE DOUBLE BURNER ONLY WORKS ON HIGH NO MATTER WHERE I SET IT

Hello Miguel;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

There are two electrical components that will cause this problem. The most probable cause is the burner element. Each of your burner elements have a independent temperature sensor. The sensor controls the burner element temperature.

Substitution Part Number: 4453909 Cost: $85.00

This surface element (part number 4453909) is for electric ranges, including Whirlpool electric range model GJC3034RB00.
Unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breakers to disconnect electrical power to the range before replacing the surface element. Wear gloves to protect your hands when replacing surface element on your electric range.
This is a manufacturer substitution. Part may differ in appearance but is a functional equivalent to priorparts including 9759351.

OR:

PART NUMBER: 8523698 Cost: $71.00

The other less likely electrical component is Surface Element Control Switch. Each burner has a independent control switch.

Cost: $46.00

To check the switch: Remove the switch 2 contacts on the left. With a multi-meter, set the meter to the lowest Ohms (Omega Symbol). Put one meter lead on one switch contact and the other meter lead on the other contact. If the switch is good you meter will read "0" Ohms.

Oven is Electrically charged Or Uses LPG domestic Gas?.

GS460 is not the full model number for the range. The range needs both electrical power (120V AC) and gas. The electric power is used for the burner igniter and controlling the range thermostat.

The GS460LEK can be used with either NG or LPG. It came with the NG orifices installed at the factory; a conversion kit needs to be installed to use LPG. (The cap in the regulator also needs to be turned 180 degrees to read LP.) This should be done by a trained installer. Most Whirlpool ranges will have the conversion kit attached on the back of the range near the regulator. See the installation guide from Whirlpool for your model, try https://www.whirlpool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/OCManualsLiteratureSearchView?catalogId=10561&langId=-1&storeId=10211&krypto=m3wLp9EUOpUUfCAXtvB5kw%3D%3D&ddkey=http:OCManualsLiteratureSearchView .
The installation guide for the GS460LEKQ0 is available at https://www.whirlpool.com/digitalassets/MLPDF/Installation%20Instructions%20-%208522956.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Clock works but nothing else does. could that be a fuse? Can you point me in the right direction for finding the model number on the range? thanks

Model numbers are usually around door frames ,top and or bottom. This is probably an electric stove?
If so , one of you 50amp breakers may have tripped causing half the machine to only work.

See if it trips again, then call us back

Stove top ignitors do not ignite but oven does.

Electric gas igniters sometimes get stuck in one position causing a clicking sound. The clicking sound that you hear is the electric arc that is pulsing from the igniter conductor (wire) to ground (the gas burner). It receives power from the electrical outlet that the stove is plugged into.
Residue from food and sometimes cleaning products may be preventing the igniter from producing a spark (Arc) to the base of the burner. This is a common problem that occurs when the stove has been cleaned or food is allowed to build up. Make sure that the igniter and the burner base are clean and dry. This will help with proper operation. Oven cleaner and a small tooth brush may be used to accomplish this. Another problem with ignition may occur if you have too little (touching) or too much space between the igniter and the base of the burner; it will prevent the burner from igniting. You should only have a little more space than the thickness of a nickel between the burner base and the igniter. A good “blue” arc from the igniter to the burner base is optimal. If this doesn’t work, you may need to replace the electric igniter module. Good luck.
